QUESTION: HOW SOON I CAN USE THIS STROLLER FOR MY BABY? I'M A MOM-TO-BE SOON WITH NO EXPERIENCE AND I WANTED TO KNOW IF I CAN USE THIS STROLLER FOR THE NEWBORN.
It lays nearly flat so it would be safe for use with a newborn. I am not sure if they sell an adapter to use with an infant car seat but if they do you could use it that with a newborn as well. Check out the baby jogger website for more info. We love our citylite. Very easy to use and light weight:)
They sell an adapter for a newborn carseat so that you can attach your carseat to the stroller until your baby is old enough to sit up in the stroller.
I don't think you would put a newborn in this stroller. First off the baby faces away from you in this stroller. We started using this for my son at 4.5 months old.
I don't think it would be appropriate for a newborn, the seating and straps do not support a newborn. The child needs to be able to hold their head up.
I'm currently using it for my 1 week old. Their website says it's suitable for newborns and while it is a bit big for her, it does recline mostly flat.
I would not recommend this stroller to newborn baby. It's a bit larger than you need. Instead, I recommend an infant car seat if you need to take your precious out.
You could use it for a newborn with the car seat adapter. It's a life saver when you can just snap the car seat in the stroller and off you go. My son is almost 10 months and we still use the car seat and adapter and if he's awake we jlput him straight in the stroller. Highly recommend using with an adapter. Congrats!
I called baby jogger and they said they will be releasing a car seat attachment sometime this spring.
You can start using it right away -- just recline it the whole way and use an infant snuzzler or something similar to give your baby more padding/neck support. We bought one on Amazon for like $10.
I wouldn't recommend for a newborn. The "fit" is not the problem, it's the angle of the seat. Yes you can put an insert in it. But the angle is the problem - it sits very uprights, very little "hammock" in the seat, and the child often feels like they're going to slide out. So it's important the child have some stabilizing muscles to pull themselves up. A newborn would not be comfortable.

QUESTION: DOES THE HANDLE BAR ADJUSTABLE?
The handlebar is not adjustable. It does not move.
No
Hi Carrie, Not on this model, but that also makes it stronger. ~Gerry Deal Busters Store
No it does not.
No, this model does not have an adjustable handle bar.
No, and I am not happy with this stroller. It is flimsy. i bought a b agile by britax on clearance but the the baby jogger city mini GT is also good too.

QUESTION: WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CITY LITE AND CITY MINI? I ONLY FOUND THE BREAK AND CANOPY HAVE A SLIGHT DIFFERENCE. ANY OTHER FUNCTIONAL DIFFERENCE?
the only other major difference is the handle. The Lite has more of an oval handle with foam wrapping and the Mini has a round handle with rubber. My wife preferred the round handle, so we chose the Mini.
Function no, the quality of fabric is less nice, but still great. I love my lite, I've had 3 others including expensive bob. This is my favorite for everything. Lite, easy to open and close. It's perfect for everyday. It's always in the back of my car.
The isn't really a "foot rest" for your child to put their feet on the lite. The mini has a slightly larger area so their feet isn't completely dangling. Other than that, I would agree with everyone else. I wish I bought the mini instead of the lite because I feel the rubber handles are easier to keep clean than the lite. The fabric on the lite also feels slightly cheaper. But for the price it is still a good stroller!
A couple of things -- the lite, as the name suggests, is lighter. Babyjogger says it's a 1 pound difference -- by our scale it was more like 2 lbs plus. Also, the basket on the lite isn't bigger but it is more accessible. The fabric is slightly different, too, but I prefer the look and feel of the lite fabric. The footrest, as someone else pointed out, is more shallow on the lite. In addition, the fold requires you to push a button before pulling up to fold -- the regular mini doesn't have this button. The harness is also different -- the city mini harness is MUCH easiser to operate. That being said, I've had both and I'd choose the lite hands down.

QUESTION: WHAT IS THE HEIGHT OF THE HANDLE? I'M 5'7 AND FIND THAT I HAVE TO HUNCH OVER MY CURRENT STROLLER.
Don't have mine handy to measure now. But I'm 5'7" and it's fine.
I am not sure of the exact height, but I am 5' 8" and I think the handle is a good height.
I'm 5'10" and my husband is 6', and neither of us have to hunch over to use the stroller.

QUESTION: IS THIS A GOOD AIRLINE TRAVEL STROLLER? I'M LOOKING FOR LIGHTWEIGHT, ONE HAND FOLD, EASY TO MANUEVER STROLLER FOR TRAVEL AND ERRANDS.
yes. took it on a recent trip with 2 toddlers, used this stroller and the city mini and both work great, fold easily and fit through the security xray machine
That's exactly why I purchased this stroller! I have three children (3 and under) and I needed a single stroller that we could travel with in addition to our double. It's probably my most favorite stroller I have ever owned. I like to think of myself as a stroller connoisseur having gone through so many and this by far exceeded my expectations. It's very light weight, it glides with ease and most importantly can be folded AND lifted with one hand! I love the large canopy as well, some other brands have skimpy ones that are not long enough. This is a perfect stroller!
i tried quiet a few stroller's looking for an easy to operate and light stroller for daily errands that is still comfortable for the baby. i think this stroller fits the bill, and you should be very happy with it. It folds very easily, wheels pop off no problem, and if you buy the additional carrying case (don't know if it is necessary but will protect your investment) i think this may be a great fit for you. My sister has the city mini GT double amd with this being the lighter more economical version, i see the same quality and comfort. glides like a dream.
Love this for travel I go back and fourth from the U.S. to thailand and it's great for big cities and just everyday use! Our stroller has been all over I love it I wish j had bought it sooner

QUESTION: I WANT A LIGHT WEIGHT EASY TO FOLD AND CARRY STROLLER FOR DAILY USE ON STREET WALK AND STORES AND MALLS.. IS THIS A GOOD OPTION?
Yes, I love mine and use it just as you described you wish to do so.
Yes, I bought it after using an Uppa Baby and couldn't be happier! It is so light weight and easy to fold. It also has great maneuverability. I'm really happy with it!

QUESTION: HOW DOES THIS COMPARE TO THE BABY JOGGER CITY MINI?
I have had both the city mini and the city lite. There are a few differences that impact day to day use: -city mini feels more sturdy, especially when pushing a heavier child; -the child harness system on the city lite is time consuming at best and impossible to secure with an unhappy toddler (the city mini's harness system is simple to use) - our under-stroller basket broke during the first week if use on the city lite while the city mini basket was well secured. Overall the city mini is definitely a better stroller for extended daily use because it is much more sturdy. I would only recommend the city lite if someone needs a stroller for occasional use with a light child (under 40 lbs.) that does not need to be strapped in.
It doesn't, don't waste your money like I did on this flimsy pos and get the mini gt instead.
The City Lite is a bit lighter, and has a slightly different latching mechanism that uses a button to release. (I like it better, actually.) Unfortunately, the Lite doesn't have any place to attach trays or car seat adapters. Those are the primary differences.

QUESTION: CAN A CARSEAT ADAPTER BE USED ON THIS?
No. Not this version. There is another Baby Jogger that is capable of this.
No, I don't believe it can but this is supposed to be safe for newborns+ to ride directly in.
No. Baby Jogger company said they plan to release one in the future.
I gave it as a gift so I don't know the answer.

QUESTION: HELP! I ORDERED THIS STROLLER AND THE 5-PT HARNESS IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO WORK. DOES IT GET EASIER OVER TIME? I AM ON THE VERGE OF RETURNING IT.
I know I hated it too! I contacted the manufacturer to see if it can be switched & unfortunately it can't. It does get easier. Our son is actually patient when I fumble with the straps, the five piece is actually helpful for a quick release which is crucial. Good luck!
It takes a little getting used to. It's a two step process. You have to slide the latch part first then buckle it. I like it because it is not easy to get out of but takes a little getting used to. Be sure the shoulder pads are all the way up so they don't get In the way of the buckle
It can be confusing with having to slide the latch and then buckle, but I ended up practicing and now i don't mind it.
I guess. I don't find it too difficult. Sometimes I don't use the shoulder straps. You could tape them into place in the waist strap to help.
It isn't too bad. A bit cumbersome, but only takes a few seconds to get. I only used it when my baby was very young. I stopped after she could sit up on her own.

QUESTION: HOW TO FOLD IT? PLS HELP
There is a red button in the left side (on the inside). Push that button then pull the handle in the middle of the seat it should instantly fold
You hold down the red button on the inside of the left middle hinge hub. And pull the strap handle in the inside of the seat. The red straps have to be un-snapped.

QUESTION: DO YOU EVER GET USED TO THE WEIRD BUCKLE? WOULD YOU RECOMMEND ANOTHER STROLLER BECAUSE OF IT? I NEED IT FOR AIR TRAVEL FOR A 3 YEARS OLD.
I would not recommend it at all - it's light that is all it has going for it ! I returned three of them - it was an extra stroller when my son was still in it and it was awful ! Sorry but the truth
Pro It's lightweight. Price is good Con We really don't like the handle bar The buckle is quite a hassle. Especially if the child is fighting to get out.
Honestly the buckle sucks but it's the best stroller for travel by far I tried 3 different ones
I got use to it by the time someone stole the stroller lol and now I have a baby jogger city versa and love it.
NO! The buckle is the worst. It is so hard to use. It takes 2 people most of the time. I really wish the buckle was different because I love the stroller otherwise.
What is wrong with people? The buckle is fine, is it the easiest, no but seriously if that's all you have to complain about then you have it pretty good

QUESTION: DOES THE SEAT TRULY RECLINE NEARLY HORIZONTALLY FLAT AS THE MFR CLAIMS? IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE IT WILL BE ABLE TO.
Yea it does great stroller!
Yes it does. It is quite comfortable for kids to sleep in.
Not all the way flat .. it does have a little lift to it my kidos dont mind and still nap comfortable..

QUESTION: CAN I MY DIAPER BAG HANG ON THE HANDLES WILL IT TIP OVER?
I guess that mostly depends on how heavy your bag is. My wife's bag is not too heavy, but her straps aren't wide enough to actually fit around the bar (it's wide and curved). There is a decent little carry compartment under the seat. You might consider getting one of those carabiner hooks to hold your bag if you intend to attach it to the handlebar. With your kid in the seat, there's no way your bag would tip the stroller.
I hang mine on the handle and it has never tipped. Even with my child not in it.
Having tried it out in the store two days ago, I can definitively say: it's a single round connecting handle, and it has a warning: "Warning: Do not hang bags from handle." That said, you'll notice a storage area under the seat that should do the trick.
Yes
It will tip over if the child is not in stroller and the diaper bag is heavy. It's a very light stroller.

QUESTION: DOES THE SEAT SIT COMPLETELY UPRIGHT?
It's not a 90 degree angle. There is a bit of a recline to it but not too bad.
Not 100% but I'd say it does pretty much.
It does but it's a pain pulling the strap to pull the seat up truly I hate the stroller returned it three times three diff issues
#Baby_Jogger

QUESTION: HOW DOES THIS STROLLER DO ON UNPAVED SURFACES?
That's really good!!!! The only thing i don't like is the capot,,,,
It's ok. The Problem is it hard to control the direction.Wrist soon tired
It does okay, almost good considering its quality level. It is mostly made of plastic and really light, which is why we bought it. It is not super sturdy - part of it broke off on the first plane flight we took - but it serves it's purpose for us.
It is ok, but not great... The front wheel can get stuck sometimes on even small bumps/ruts and cause the stroller to come to a jolting stop. My child has had a few face plants into the tray from this :(...BUT I can honestly say this stroller is awesome. Great for traveling and just an all around great stroller! I pull it backwards if the terrain gets too crazy.

QUESTION: DOES IT FIT WITH EVENFLO CAR SEAT?
It doesn't have any car seat attachments but I was debating on getting the stroller tray and laying the seat back all the way and seeing if my sons car seat would fit.
No....You can't attach any car seat
Not designed to safely fit with car seat.
#Baby_Jogger_Review

QUESTION: WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THIS STROLLER WITH THE CITY MINI ONE?
it's low quality and lighter. i recommend getting the city mini gt - you won't regret it. i made thecostly mistake of buying the lite and it took me forever to find someone willing to give me 50% of what i paid. dont waste your money on this piece of s***.
I don't believe it is lower quality. It still holds great to the quality of the Baby Jogger brand, however it is smaller and significantly lighter than the City Mini or GT and with having a back injury I needed the lighter weight stroller to lift in and out of my car on my own. It is perfect for that.
#Baby_Jogger_2014_City_Lite

QUESTION: IS IT FINE FOR 3 TILL 5 YEAR?
Yes, I would say a bigger kid would be ok in this stroller. I was in NYC recently and saw several 4-5 yr olds in this specific stroller.
Yes the space is big enough for 5 year old baby I guess
Yes the space is big enough for 5 years old kid.

QUESTION: IS THIS AS GOOD FOR TALL PARENTS AS THE CITY ELITE?
My DH is over 6ft and he's very comfy pushing it.
I am not familiar with the city elite but I am 5'11" and find the city lite very comfortable to stroll. The bar across the back is raised unlike the city mini so there is no risk of kicking it while you walk.
I am 5'7. Works great. Love it and it's so easy to maneuver
My Husband us 6ft and it works just fine for him
Yes this is one of the reason we bought this Baby Jogger handle height is good which doesn't make my shoulders tired.
Hi Jennifer, I am 6 feet and it is comfortable for me
#2014_City_Lite

QUESTION: MY 5-YEAR OLD IS 42" TALL. WILL HE FIT NICELY INSIDE THE STROLLER?
No......
While shopping for a stroller for my 3y, I tried pushing this one with my 7y (48" tall) at BBB and it fits and push nicely. The bottom part is that there's no foot rest for her.
#Baby_Jogger_Review

QUESTION: WHAT IS THE SIZE OF THIS WHEN ITS FOLDED?
I don't know exact dimensions. But it folds up incredibly compact and light! It is very flat when folded. It's a great stroller to keep in the car for errands. It's a wonderful stroller that all three of our kids can use. We use it daily.
There is a picture with the size when it's folded in the description - 30" x 11" x 23'
It collapses very nicely and fits easily in my Honda Accord trunk. Very light. I love the stroller, but the straps are a challenge.
#Baby_Jogger_2014_City_Lite

QUESTION: TO RECLINE THE SEAT, IS THERE A BAR OR JUST A STRAP THAT CINCHES UP?
There is only a clamp on the strap to adjust seating.
Just the strap that clinches up. Very easy to use.
A strap that cinches
There is a strap which is similar to the City Mini

QUESTION: HOWS THE SEAT CUSHION ON THIS STROLLER? HAD THE MICRO BEFORE ANDNIT FELT LIKE A CARDBOARD WAS WONDERING IF THIS FEELS CUSHIONING ENOUGH/COMFY
Seems pretty comfortable, my daughter is 12 months old and seems happy in it.
It is firm but i think the cushion is good, I am very happy with mine
It is fairly hard, which is what i was looking for.
Nope feels stiff and is plastic.
More like cardboard. Probably 1 sheet of batting, 1/4" thick. Works fine for out toddler though.
#2014_City_Lite

QUESTION: IS THIS A GOOD JOGGING STROLLER?
This is not a jogging stroller. The brand is baby jogger. If you want a jogging stroller, check out the baby jogger summit.
I ended up returning the stroller. Didn't open box yet so can't answer your question.
#Baby_Jogger_Review

QUESTION: I'M INTERESTED IN THE TAN COLOR BUT AM CONCERNED IT WILL STAIN EASILY - IS THE FABRIC EASY TO CLEAN?
I have the black one so I can't be absolutely certain, however what I can say is that the material is a wipeable nylon where liquid doesnt soak through right away. Food and liquid is easy to wipe however scuff marks for your child's shoe might not come out.
I haven't had to clean it yet but the tan color is actually pretty dark and so I think camouflages stains fairly well...
#Baby_Jogger_2014_City_Lite

QUESTION: DO I REALLY HAVE TO REATTACH THE SHOULDER STRAPS TO THE LAP BELT EVERY TIME?
Yes. Takes a little more time getting them in but is really easy to get them out.
I stopped using mine once my baby could sit up on her own.
#Baby_Jogger

QUESTION: DOES IT FIT FOR A 6 MONTH OLD BABY?
No problem at all. It's very spacious. Even can put my 6-year daughter in for a while.
No problem at all. It's very spacious. Even can put my 6-year daughter in for a while.
I would say yes if your baby is sitting. It has a 5 point harness. We really love this stroller- but, I would definitely recommend buying the accessory pack so you have a tray and cup holders.
Yes. I use it with a very big two year old
#2014_City_Lite

QUESTION: CAN MY 3YR OLD DAUGHTER WHO IS 30LBS BE ABLE TO USE THIS STROLLER?
Yes. It'll be great for her. I believe it holds up to 60 lbs.
Absolutely. My son is 4 and 40 lbs and he fits great.
#Baby_Jogger_Review

QUESTION: I WAS AT THE STORE, AND IT TOOK MY SOMETIME TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO CLOSE THE HARNESS. DO YOU EVER GET USED TO THIS BUCKLE? WOULD YOU RECOMMEND
It took me a while to figure it out until one day I just practiced a few times without my son in the stroller and that helped a lot. Now that he's older I don't bother with the shoulder harness actually.
Yes it is super easy once you get the hang of it. We love ours and use it daily.
