QUESTION: IS IT EASY TO JOG/RUN WITH? ITS MY FIRST BABY/FIRST JOGGER AND I WANT SOMETHING I CAN JOG AND GET BACK IN SHAPE WITH.
Best jogging stroller! After months of research and having already owned a burley stroller we are so pleased with the x3. We run 3-6 miles a day in a very hilly area and this is the only stroller that offers a braking system and is easy to travel with. Highly recommend this stroller. I also use the car seat adapter for the britax car seat and jog with our 4 week old.
I am not the jogger but my husband is and he loves this jogger. With the console attachment he has room for his water bottle, snack, and phone with space to spare. The one hand break makes going down inclines easy and the safety strap prevents the stroller from getting away from you. The front wheel locks which makes serious jogging easy, and my husband loves the shocks. There are a lot of oak trees by us and it goes over the acorn seed pretty well considering how big acorn seeds are.
It is not too heavy or large, and it's easy to maneuver. While jogging with it, my feet did not run into the stroller at all. (Although I'm fairly short... A taller runner may have more of an issue with this.). It is more difficult to run with a stroller, not only because you're pushing the weight of the stroller & child, but because you can't swing your arms to help you move. But that's the same for any jogging stroller.
HI, I have had my summit for about 5 months now and it is a dream to job/walk with it is super smooth and glides along very nicely. It is a little on the heavier side but with the bigger back wheels that is to be expected. The hand brake is a fantastic addition. You will definitely not regret getting this pram! It will last for ages as there is heaps of room in the seat for your little one to grow! :)

QUESTION: TO GET 6 YEAR OLD A STROLLER. HE IS A LITTLE SHORTER THAN OTHER KIDS. I AM TORN BETWEEN THIS ONE, JOOVY ZOOM 360 & BOB REVOLUTION.WHICH IS BIGGER?
I have a two year old who is 3 feet tall and he barely fits in the summit x3. He has to almost duck his head to sit in it even when the canopy is in the closed position.
I've read that the baby jogger is taller and have compared it to a revolution pro and its wider in the tire area. I've never seen a Zoom before. You should be able to compare specs online. I googled bob vs. baby jogger and had s few things come up that were helpful! Hope this helps!

QUESTION: I AM 5'2 AND CONCERNED THAT THIS STROLLER WILL BE UNCOMFORTABLY HIGH. DOES ANYONE WHO IS AROUND MY HEIGHT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE HEIGHT OF THE BAR?
I'm 6'2" and my wife is 5'7", however, I do not beleive it'd be too tall. You wouldn't have to raise your arms any. Worst case, you'd put your arms out straight. It honestly doesn't seem any higher than other brands/models.
I'm 5'2" and my husband is 6'1". We both are comfortable with the height of the handle bar. The bar comes up to just over the middle of my stomach... Maybe 2" over my belly button
I am 5'3 and my husband is 6'2 and we both use the stroller comfortably. No complaints so far.
I'm just shy of 5'4 and I have no issues at all with the height of the handle bar. I think the height is just fine, but if the handle bar was adjustment, I might even be inclined to raise it a little. Can't imagine you'd have any problem at all. I am very happy with this stroller.
I am 5'11, and my wife is 5'1, while it looks tall for my short wife, she actually prefers the stroller height.
I'm 5"0 and I have to bend my arms to use it, but I find it comfortable to run with. No issues here!

QUESTION: DOES THE HANDLE BAR ADJUST? I AM 5'3 AND WORRY THE HANDLE WILL BE TOO HIGH.
No it does not.
The handlebar is not adjustable
It does not adjust but I am 5'5" and am very comfortable. I doubt the 3" will make any difference. I've only used my stroller in flip flops this summer. With an inch from sneakers I bet it'll be perfect.

QUESTION: ANYONE SHORT (5'2") USE THIS FOR RUNNING? DECIDING BETWEEN THIS AND A BOB WITH AN ADJUSTABLE HANDLEBAR
I'm 5'3"ish (5'3 1/2" with my joggers on) and I jog with this about 4 times a week (not super long distances though). I have not had any problems with it. At most, it's the adjustment of jogging with a stroller (having an arm or two out in front to keep it moving.) Definitely need to have the wheel locked while jogging or it will develop a terrible wobble. I'm in SanFrancisco and while most of my route is fairly flat, I can definitely tell the slightest incline (either way) with the stroller but it's not been a problem so far. My daughter now 10mo loves it. The canopy is really nice and shocks are FANTASTIC on the uneven sidewalks here.
I am 5"0 and have just started running with it as I train for my next race. It is an adjustment to run while pushing a stroller to begin with (as the previous poster said), but I don't find the height to be an issue. I was worried about that too before I purchased. I would say that my arms end up bent at the elbow almost 90 degrees, maybe slightly inclined. Not a comfort issue either.

QUESTION: IS THE HANDLEBAR ADJUSTABLE?
It is not adjustable But it's a great stroller take to Beach all the time
No it isn't - it's a fixed handle bar with a handbrake
The handlebar is NOT adjustable. Slightly annoying but no deal breaker. My wife and I take turns walking and jogging with the stroller and it hasn't been a problem for either of us.

QUESTION: MY DAUGHTER IS 4 AND WEIGHTS 42 POUNDS AND 44 INCHES TALL. I KNOW IT HOLDS UP TO 75 POUNDS BUT I WONDER IF IT WOULD BE TALL ENOUGH FOR HER TO RIDE IN
There are reviews on YouTube that has shown a child, about 6 years old, seated comfortably. Baby Jogger has been recommended for a taller parent, also can fit a taller child. The seat is a bit taller than other strollers.
My kid is exactly that height / weight and we just took a farewell ride in it today, since we are giving ours away to her baby cousin (after four years of AWESOME use, by the way:). She fits comfortably, but if the seat is in the reclined position, and she shifts her bottom back, it will flip backwards FYI. This is due more to weight of course, than height. We have also had a 5 year old and a 2 year old sitting tandem in this thing with the seat reclined, and though the 5 year old got agitated, they fit comfortably for a while. :)
My little guy is only 5 months old but based on length of seat, I'm pretty confident it will hold a 44 incher with no problems. It's a fantastic stroller and hope it works for you! :)
#Summit_X3_Single

QUESTION: IS THERE AN OPTION TO ADD A SECOND SEAT TO THIS MODEL?
They make a side by side double. This is the only option.
You can attach an infant seat, but I don't think there is a way to seat two kids in this model. You can attach the rider board behind the stroller.
No.
You can buy the Summit X3 double to have two seats.

QUESTION: WHEN IN FIXED WHEEL MODE, CAN THE FRONT WHEEL FIX FORWARD (MEANING FURTHER OUT)? ALSO, WHERE IS THE SAFETY STRAP ATTACHED?
The wheel does click into position but I've never looked to see if it goes out further when locked. The strap is attached to the bottom bar in the back, and comes up and velcro's to the top handlebar. You can move it anywhere on the handlebar that you want. I went back and forth between this and the BOB for weeks and finally purchased this one. Best decision, I am in love with this stroller if that helps at all!
Hi Eddie, from what I know the wheel is further out in fixed wheel mode, ours accidentally locked in that position, so the wheel fixes facing out, not under like in turn mode. The safety straps are red, they attach on the top button area on the main bar going to the back wheel area. you cannot fold the cart with the red safety straps buttoned to the bar.
YES! The manual fixing on the right side of the stroller only fixes it inwards. If you want the front wheel to face further out, you have to do it manually at the front wheel.

QUESTION: CAN THIS BE USED AS A BASSINET?
No
No
No
No
The bassinet that Baby Jogger produces for their stroller lines, are not recommended for night sleeping. They don't feel it's safe enough to leave newborn unsupervised for long term. Bassinet is recommended to allow newborn to lay flat while using the stroller.

QUESTION: HOW MUCH DOES THIS WEIGH?
Itis rather light; I'd say less than 10 kilos / 22 pounds. That is - after a year - also a little bit of a problem. If you are running, you start to notice after a while that the frame is not as stiff as you would hope for. A stiffer frame would either weigh more (steel) or be more expensive (carbon). The front wheel now, after a year, starts wobbling more often and there is more play on some points than what I hoped for. But well, it is light, not too expensive and easy to fold. Alternatively, I'd look at the BOB or at the Thule for real running pleasure (but heavier and wider).
It's not a light stroller I'll tell you that. I don't know the exact weight but my wife has a hard time moving it around.
I'm not sure the exact weight but it is 'light' in my opinion compared to others. We are so happy with it! It is beyond easy to steer, and you can fold it up with one hand.
I do not know. Maybe about 15 pounds. It is light and easily handled.

QUESTION: IS THIS STROLLER A GOOD CHOICE FOR SOMEONE WHO IS 6' 4"?
No, that is a bit too tall.
Personally I would recommend a stroller with an adjustable handlebar. This stroller is taller than some, but it would probably behoove someone of your stature to have the ability to adjust to what works for you!
#Baby_Jogger_Review

QUESTION: WOULD YOU USE THIS AS YOUR REGULAR STROLLER?
Yes, I think you can. I think this is a great stroller and provides a very smooth ride whether just walking or jogging. The only downside to using it as an everyday stroller is that the seat is stationary so you cannot turn it around so the baby is facing you. But if you get the car seat adaptor and use it with the car seat, then the baby will be facing you. For infants and small babies, you may need to use a seat insert for awhile, although I can't say that for sure as I did not get this stroller until my LO was almost 6 months.
Yes I would
I have used it as a regular stroller. I have taken it around the mall, and other stores during the cold months. The back wheels may be too wide for smaller stores or stores with lots of displays, but works great in just about any setting. I would recommend for larger stores or outlet malls if intended for shopping trips.

QUESTION: CAN YOU TRAVEL ON AIRPLANE WITH IT AND CHECK IT JUST BEFORE YOU GET ON THE PLANE?
I've read that it fits in gate check bags if you take the wheels off. That said, we've never travelled with it.
Check with the airline you are flying. Rules differ among the airlines.

QUESTION: I LIKE TO GO CAMPING. IS THIS STROLLER GOOD TO TAKE ON HIKES? WHAT DO YOU CONSIDER `A MODERATE TRAIL'? THANK YOU!
I don't hike with it personally but it would certainly work on a dirt path with some stumps or whatever. It's as good as any stroller out there in my opinion.
I bought this stroller for my daughter and she is very pleased on how well its constructed. She takes my grandson on walks in the park on fairly level ground. I believe the stroller will handle a moderate trail with uneven ground. Hope this helps.
We have taken this stroller off road, and it did well. It shook a little, but not enough to stir our sleeping toddler. We walked in tall grass (fixed wheel), on dirt roads with a rock or two on the road (fixed wheel), roads with pot holes, all did remarkably well. The shock absorbers didn't take all the bouncing and shaking, but did take a lot of it.

QUESTION: IS THIS STROLLER SUITABLE FOR TALL PARENTS? I'M 5'9" AND MY HUBBS IS 6'3".
Yes
Yes, both my kids are tall and they like it. Only problem is that it doesn't seat baby upright enough.

QUESTION: DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW THE SUMMIT X3 DOES ON THE SAND? I AM LOOKING FOR AN EVERY DAY STROLLER THAT CAN HANDLE WALKING ON THE BEACH- ANY THOUGHTS?
This stroller can go on alot of different terrain but i dont think any stroller you buy is going to be any good going through sand, ive tried with mine & still couldnt move
I take my stroller on trails with rock/sand/grass/you name it and the stroller does great. I'm positive it could handle the beach.
I think it would do well on the wet parts that are a little harder, but perhaps not so on the softer spots. I think this is one of the best strollers though, and the digging in on soft sand would happen with any stroller. As a tip; I would use WD40 on the metal parts if you are going close to salt water often. All metal parts are high quality, but sea water can be tough on metal...

QUESTION: IS THE BLACK SUMMIT X3 STROLLER GET REALLY WARM/HOT IN THE SUMMER?
I bought this stroller for my daughter and new grandchild. She did allot of research and found this to be an excellent purchase. This summer she has gone on many walks and the baby seems to be very comfortable. The retractable bonnet is nice if you are not in direct sunlight. She always takes an small lightweight blanket to block additional sunlight that the bonnet may not stop. Hope this helps.
My son is a heat generator and he still seems quite comfortable in the stroller. I haven't noticed him getting hot or sweaty when I take him out. The shade is fabulous at protecting him from the son, and he can still see in front of him just fine. This is the only stroller we have had that he rides in for a decent length of time without fussing.

QUESTION: THE PEAK A BOO WINDOWS ON THE CANOPY - ARE THEY VELCRO OR MAGNET?
Velcro
They have triangular Velcro corners
Velcro. Very well made

QUESTION: WOULD THIS BE A GOOD RENTAL AT DISNEY FOR MY 5 YEAR OLD WHO IS 50LBS AND 50"?
Our daughter is only 13 months and about 22 pounds, but this stroller is amazing! Very comfortable for her, great canopy, easy to fold up if needed, has a hand brake for steep descents. It is a bit bigger than the city strollers as it's a jogging stroller, but I highly recommend it
No, I think it will be both a little heavy, think 50 lbs is just above the indicated weight limit, and your girl or boy will be poking with her head in the sun hood. Though if you don't use the sun hood, you can take it off, you might be okay regarding weight, given you would only be using it for a few days.
Actually, I am not sure. I bought this stroller as a baby gift for my daughter. She hasn't used it yet.

QUESTION: I WONDER IF YOU SEND TO PANAMA AND THERE ARE ADDITIONAL COST. THANK YOU
We do not ship outside the 48 continental United States.
yes

QUESTION: DOES THE SEAT RECLINE FAIRLY EASILY? IS THE A THERE 'QUICK' RELEASE CLASP THAT IS FAST AND EASY TO USE?
Yes, it reclines fairly easy. There is a clip holding the 2 straps (one on each side) together. This clip is released and pulled back towards the ends of the straps. This can be done with one hand. When you release the force on this clip the seat starts to recline under the childs weight. As you usually would use this feature after the child has fallen asleep I recommend to try it with the chiuld awake. It needs a little training to get a feeling for a gentle recline. All in all the X3 is a great stroller. It is already our 2nd Baby jogger and we don't want to exchange it. Even our 1st model is still running.
Yes, very easy to use... Great jogger

QUESTION: DO THE VENT AND PEEK-A-BOO FLAPS ATTACH BY VELCRO OR MAGNETS?
Peek a boo are by Velcro, vent by a hook and loop
It's velcro

QUESTION: IS THIS STROLLER GOOD FOR OFF-ROAD HIKING AND TRAIL RUNNING? I NEED SOMETHING WITH GOOD SUSPENSION.
My wife and I use ours on the dirt trails where we live. Our son tends to fall asleep on the longer jogs. I would avoid anything too rocky only to avoid a fall or injury to your child, regardless of the stroller you choose.
I think so. My daughter stated that she went across ground that she worried would have a negative affect on the baby, but it did not even notice it. She is very happy with the unit, she does recommend the weather cover which she plans to order now.
It has great suspension, but it is a heavier stroller, especially for pushing up hill.

QUESTION: WHAT IS THE FRONT FORK MADE OF - IS IT PLASTIC OR METAL? THANKS!
It's a combo of both plastic and metal.
Metal

QUESTION: WHAT ARE THE FOLDED DIMENSIONS WITH AND WITHOUT THE LARGE REAR TIRES? I KNOW IT'S SMALL WITHOUT THE BACK TIRES, IS IT WORTH TAKING THEM OFF EACH TIME?
Not sure of dimensions but it fits in the trunk of my wife's tiny Chevy Cobalt without taking off the back wheels, and with room to spare.
Not sure of the dimensions, but I have a Honda Civic and it fits in my trunk (alongside the playpen) without taking off the tires no problem. I have actually never had to take them off to fit it anywhere so far. That said, they are very easy to pop on and off when you want to (never had issues with them coming off on their own).
