QUESTION: CAN YOU FEEL THE HEATING ELEMENT WITH YOUR FEET?
No
Yes, I can; but, not enough to bother me. It is not really that big. I can easily ignore it. The benefits from the heated mattress pad far outweighs whatever bother I get from the element.
Yes. It is boxy at the connecting point of the element and the cord. I am 5'2", I do sleep low in the bed and I felt it. But I soon got used to it and either didn't feel it anymore or ignored the connection. I loved the warmth so much I wouldn't let it bother me.
You can not feel the heating element but if you seek out the corners of the matress you can find the connectors....
You can feel the heat with your feet, but you do not feel the wires.
yes
I am really short so I doubt I could feel it. But we did turn ours around and put the heating connection at the top, so it is under our pillow. This works great.
I put mine at the head of the bed but they are at the side edge that I don't think feet would be in that spot. I have had several heated mattress pads. Sunbeam has always been the best for padding to not feel wiring. Returned two right away for that reason. Have a Beautyrest on spare bedroom bed that is ok. But had to replace worn out Sunbeam purchased years ago at Costco with this one. Only problem is it is plenty hot turned on lowest setting. Love that you can have it warmer at your feet or turn areas off completely except for what desired out of six areas.

QUESTION: I READ ONE SUGGESTION OF BUYING A SECOND WATERPROOF PAD TO PUT ON TOP OF THIS ONE THEREBY CUTTING DOWN ON WASHING, WOULD THIS WORK?
I guess a mattress cover would help, but I wonder if that would cut down on the effiency of the heating pad?
I would assume it would work, but I don't feel it is necessary unless you have a need for a waterproof barrier. I just use fresh clean sheets each week, and at the end of the season, I remove the heated pad, wash it, and store it until next season.

QUESTION: AFTER READING THESE COMMENTS AND QUESTIONS, I AM VERY CONFUSED. IS IT ONE OR TWO WIRELESS REMOTES?
Depends on the size of mattress.Twin and Full size is one control and do believe Queen and King would be 2 controls. Love the remote and also the sectional heating. Very comfortable.
There is one wireless controller. It controls both sides of the mattress warmer. Controls on right side for the right of the warmer. Congolese on left side for left side of warmer. One controller.
I have a full size which has one controller. Sizes up, have two for comfort for two people in the bed. If you have a large bed for one person, put both controllers within your reach.
One control , controls seprate sides by themselves. Head, back, feet .
This one is a one remote system. Three zones, feet, middle and head. It is a very high temp system. Typically level 1 is more than enough for our house which is approx 60 degrees over night.
I have a queen size and it has ONE remote control for both sides of the bed.
There is one wireless remote, clearly marked for two sides. There is a switch on the remote that allows for 6 settings (3 on each side) or just 3 settings (both sides the same,). I own 3 of these, awesome.
As I said, I have not put this on my bed yet. These are suppose to be 2 twin xl heating pads. There had better be a remote for each 1 or I will be returning them.

QUESTION: I NOTICED THE DIMENSIONS FOR THIS KING SIZED PAD IS 10 X 14 X 14.WHY NOT 72 X 82 14 INCHES DEEP MEASUREMENTS AS IN MOST PADS?WHAT IS 10X14?
It might be the size of the box or came in. That seems about the right size. It does fit my king nicely.
I think this is just a misprint. I bought this pad in a king. I have standard king Beauty Rest Plush mattresses. They are pretty thick. The heat pad fits perfectly and the zoned heat is amazing! I would definitely recommend this product.
#Sunbeam_Therapeutic

QUESTION: IS IT POSSIBLE TO GET A SECOND REMOTE CONTROL UNIT - SO EACH PERSON HAS THEIR OWN.
The one remote is split in to his and her sides and the two of you share it. It can also be set so that both sides have the same settings. You should call Sunbeam and ask if getting a second control is an option.
We spoke to THREE different people at Sunbeam. They were all consistent in that none of them knew their product and none of them could find a second controller for the product.
I bought 2 twin XL for a split king, and each has it's own control. Sorry if this is not the size your looking at.
Not unless it is a queen or king
You know I just looked online. Couldn't find anything. Might have to email sunbeam. I leave remote in bed. It is dark but when you touch it it has soft light and easy to adjust in the dark. Does beep when you press. Might try between the two of you, see if it doesn't get lost?
Mine was just a twin so with king size I am sure it comes with separate remotes
Dual controls come with king and queen size only. Didn't realize that until I bought a full size for another couple after telling them how wonderful our queen size one was. What a disappointment!
Twin and full are only set up for one control. For two-person comfort, you would have to get either queen or king size.
its a good question I would like to know it too.
#Heated_Mattress_Pad

QUESTION: IS THERE ONE CORDED POWER PLUG OR TWO?
Not sure what you mean but the one control unit (twin xlong) has two plugs, one for the electrical outlet and one that plugs into the pad. Hope this helps.
One
One power cord with plug. Goes to two connections in mattress pad...one on the bottom of each side.
I have the full size with only one controller. It is wireless with the main plug-in on the floor under the head of the bed. I do not know about a two controller pad. Sorry.
#Sunbeam_Therapeutic_Review

QUESTION: DO I NEED A 3 WARMING ZONES? COMPARED WITH THE 1 ZONE(WHOLE MATTRESS).
Well...depending on the size of the mattress I think it's a personal preference. I prefer that I'm able to control how warm I want to be. I have a queen bed, and my mattress cover was designed that I can heat the left side of the mattress or the right side, or both at the same time. I can heat the foot area and leave the rest cool or I can heat the middle of the mattress and keep the head and toe cool...its all about your preference. My mattress cover also allows me the opportunity to adjust my heating control from 1 to possibly 10 which is the hottest (highest) setting. I'm in a northern (cold climate) State so I am currently warming my bed on setting #1 to get in it. I love this mattress cover. This is my second year with it and I can't see myself without it. Hope this helps!&l t;/div>
I LOVE this pad. My husband likes warm feet and keeps his side toasty. I never put mine on and stay cool It stays on the bed really well.
Depends, I guess. If your feet get colder than your torso or head/shoulder area, then yes. We really love the three zone.
if it worked i think you would like the 3 warming zones, we were excited to get it, but then when it quit working shortly after receiving it we sent it back
It's nice to be able to just warm your feet or just your shoulders , I love mine.

QUESTION: DO ANY OF THE ELECTRIC MATTRESS PADS HAVE A WARANTY
Yes they do, just check the mattress site and it should state the terms of the warranty
I have the Sunbeam Rest & Relieve Therapeutic Mattress Pad in the King size. The User Manual says there is a 3 year limited warranty. If you have further questions, perhaps you could visit www.sunbeam.com to find the answers. Their Customer Care phone number is listed in the manual as (800) 892-7684. P.S. We LOVE ours!

QUESTION: COULD THE WIRELESS CONTROLLER INTERFER WITH OTHER WIRELESS DEVICES IN THE ROOM, PARTICULARLY A WIRELESS BED ALARM?
I haven't had any problems with any of my wireless devices so far.
A wireless bed alarm? I've never heard of this. I use an alarm clock to wake myself up. If you'r implying that the mattress has a timer built into the remote control. The remote has two selections for a timer. One is that the heat turns off after ten hours. ( if you forget to turn it off) The other is that the heat always stays on forever. This is the setting I use. The night gets to abt. 65 degrees here in S Florida and I find that the "1" setting (it ranges up to ten) is perfect now to sleep and it doesn't get too hot, to wake me up. In the morning I press the "temp. up" key to "2" setting to keep the bed and covers warm and dry, during the day. As for your question; I have a wireless motion detector in my house that ding dongs at my beds head b oard if there's an intruder in the house. So the mattress and alarm work without interference. What your specifically talking about probably won't be a problem, because the assigned signal frequencies to TV, Alarm, mattress, wi fi, bluetooth, ie, everything has it's own frequency. I hoped I was some help.
No
No, it should not interfere with another due to low frequency.
#Heated_Mattress_Pad

QUESTION: IS IT WATERPROOF.
No.
No, these pads are not water proof.
No it is not waterproof. I solved this by covering it with an inexpensive waterproof mattresspad which does not impeed the theapudic heat from the Sunbeam pad. I have a new puppy that sleeps with us and she is now90% housebroken so I needed to come up with a way to protect not only my Sunbeam padplu my new mattress. I hope my recommendation is of benefit and answered your question.
#Sunbeam_Therapeutic_Review

QUESTION: CAN THIS BE USED WITH A MEMORY FOAM TOPPER?
I don't thin so. The heat generated from the heating elements probably would not be felt through the memory topper foam.
I do and always have with all heated mattress toppers on top of the foam topper and another bed has foam topper with polyfill on top of foam to feel like down. These heated mattress pads are on both beds in house and never will be without one again. Great when sick and can't get warm or to just heat bed up before going to bed and then turning off if that is what you like. Sunbeam is the best brand to not feel wires. Have tried three other brands, two returned due to that and have Beautyrest on quest bedroom bed. It is still not as nice as Sunbeam. First Sunbeam came from Costco many years ago. Still works but from washing many time, the netting has come loose on back. Still could use it though. The only problem with this one is on lowest setting it is almost too warm. Trying to figure out if having remote further aw ay from the unit would help. I use mine upside down to not have cords along sides of bed as we have a solid base under bed. Wish someone could tell me how to make it not be so warm, if there is a secret to having remote further away from unit would indeed help.

QUESTION: CAN THE AUTO SHUT OFF BE PROGRAMMED TO SHUT OFF AFTER 2 HOURS, OR IS 10 HOURS THE ONLY OPTION?
The auto shut off can be turned off and the blanket will stay on until you turn it off manually. the factory default is 10 hours as a suggestion you can buy from walmart a small timer to fit on your power socket so you can choose the cutoff time. hope this helps.
No, the factory setting is the only option available.
10 hours is the only option.
#Sunbeam_Therapeutic

QUESTION: DOES THIS HAVE ANY AUTOMATIC SHUT OFF, AS IN WILL IT SHUT OFF BY ITSELF AFTER SO MANY HOURS??
Yes the system will shut itself off after 10 hours of operation. Also, when you first turn it on if you push the preheat button on the top of the controller, it will stay at the highest heat level for 30 minutes and then default back to your normal setting. Really enjoying the comfort of getting into a warm bed in a cool room.
Yes it does if you select automatic shut off. If selected it shuts off after 10 hours.
You have two options. You select to have the it automatically shut off after X hours; or you chose the option to manually turn off the heat whenever you choose.
Yes. The blanket turns off after ten hours. We sometimes shut it off sooner, although our dogs and cats love climbing on the bed if we don't. We're still keeping it at the lowest settings and haven't even used our down comforter despite having the heat in the bedroom turned off and several single digit outdoor temps. The only heat source, other than the blanket, is a wood stove on the lower level that usually burns down by morning.
Yes, after 10 hours, if selected.
Yes, there is an Auto Off button that will turn it off after 10 hours.
#Heated_Mattress_Pad

QUESTION: DOES IT FIT A 10 INCH TWIN MATTRESS? (FITTED SHEET LENGTH)
Yes, it will fit very deep mattresses.
Yes but I'm not sure I would recommend it. You are better off with one that plugs in. I am always replacing the batteries. I do love it though. It's cozy and warm.
Yes, but I'm not sure I would recommend it. You are better off with one that plugs in. I am always replacing the batteries. I do love it though. It's cozy and warm.
#Sunbeam_Therapeutic_Review

QUESTION: CAN YOU SET THE TIMER TO COME ON AUTOMATICALLY?
no it doesn't work that way too bad that would be way cool
It doesn't have that option because it is a DIGITAL ELECTRONIC control. It does have a PREHEAT setting, which warms the bed pretty fast. It also has the option, of leaving it STAY ON ALL NIGHT or TURNING OFF AFTER THE PREHEAT CYCLE is complete. The BEST PART is that it has (six) 6 different zones of heat. Head, middle and foot area and they are separate on each side. It has been the GREATEST mattress pad ever. I ♥ it !
Unfortunately not - however, it does not take very long to heat up the bed. I usually turn mine on 10-15 mins before retiring and it is beautifully warm. In order to speed heating up, I would suggest leaving your heavy comforter or blanket on until you go to bed. I love this blanket and continue to recommend it highly!
No not to my knowledge.
I only use this for guests occasionally, so I couldn't remember--glad to read the other responses, so I now know the answer too!
No, not that I can see...
Nope. You're gonna love it though. Just this morning, my wife and i are thinking of buying one for our daughter as her room is a little cooler during the fall/winter.
#Sunbeam_Therapeutic_Heated_Mattress_Pad

QUESTION: IS THIS TO BE PLUGGED TO AN ELECTRICAL OUTLET? IF SO, ARE USERS EXPOSED TO MAGNETIC FIELD HAZARD?
It does get plugged in to an outlet. I don't know about exposure to a magnetic field. You will need to call Sunbeam for that.
Yes
No
The remote is wireless, the pad itself uses the same heating element you would find in a rear window defrost in your car, and no none of this technology uses magnetic/Eddie currents.
#Sunbeam_Therapeutic

QUESTION: HOW MANY CONTROL DOES THIS MATTRESS PAD HAVE?
One wireless controller. Very nice system.
I have a King and Queen mattress pad. They both have dual control. You have a choice of three positions feet , back and shoulder head areas. You have several settings for each from 1 on up. you can preheat any area one side of the bed can have one setting and the other another so everyone is happy. I love this idea
1 controller. It controls both sides with 3 zones for each side.
It has three zones that can be controlled separately plus the ability to have different heat levels for the two sides of the bed. So, one person could have their feet at level 10, torso at 5 and head at 2 while the other person could have three totally different settings for the three zones, or just off altogether. Hope this helps.
It only has one wireless control, which controls either one or both sides of the bed
Cathy, it has one control with separate zones for his and hers sides so you can set different temps for each side. Also, each side is divided into three zones.
One cordless control with individual controls for each side so each person can program the different zones on the mattress cover
one control pad
#Heated_Mattress_Pad

QUESTION: WHAT IS THE THICKEST MATTRESS THIS PAD WILL FIT?
We put ours on an 11" thick mattress on top of a 1" thick pad. So we have 12" total without a problem. I would guess maybe 14" would be about max.
It easily fits 12" mattresses. I'd guess it would fit at least 15" mattresses. Just guessing, based on how it fit our 12" mattress.
This should fit a 14 inch mattress with no problem.
#Sunbeam_Therapeutic_Review

QUESTION: HOW HOT DOES IT GET ON THE HIGHEST SETTING
it does not get as hot a heating pad that you would use to relax muscles, but for me it would be way to hot to sleep with. I love this product though as my wife uses her side every night and I only use the foot portion at the lowest setting on the coldest nights
I never use it on high because it gets very warm . I use it on two and that's perfect and keeps me warm to where I don't even use a blanket . I like the product a lot and so far it's working great . I am thinking of buying another one for a gift .
Never had it way up on high it was plenty warm for me (Diabetic) on 3 or 4
We set our thermostat to 55 at night. We set both foot zones on pre-heat which gets our toes nice and warm, then it goes automatically back to our setting of 1 (lowest). Tried 2 setting, happier with 1 setting except when it just feels plumb cold outside. Just have one quilt and a cover on the bed. Used the main body setting on preheat, then 1 one time when I was about half frozen...... Love it.
It is hard to say the degree of heat..
I never needed it higher than 4. It can get really warm. Also I never made the upper area warm at all. Great for cold feet.
#Sunbeam_Therapeutic_Heated_Mattress_Pad

QUESTION: WILL THIS WORK WITH A TIMER PLUG? IF THE PAD IS HEATING AND I UNPLUG IT THEN PLUG IT BACK IN WILL IT CONTINUE HEATING OR RESET TO DEFAULT SETTINGS?
It'll reset to default settings
If the power goes off and comes back on, the pad will not come back on. Using the wireless remote control, you turn the remote off and then back on. The remote turns the pad on using whatever settings you put into the remote.
#Sunbeam_Therapeutic

QUESTION: OK... DO IT HAVE 2 SEPARATE WIRELESS CONTROLLERS?
Yes. You have one control remote but it has two sets of buttons so you can use one side of bed is you wish.
There are 2 separate controllers but they are wired, not wireless.
If you buy the wireless model the twin only has 1 controller but from what I have researched about the king it has 1 controller with separate controls for each side and can also be synced so that both sides work together to keep the whole pad at the same temperature if you have the whole bed to yourself.
If your mattress pad is wireless you have one controller. My bed is king size so I turn each side of the bed on/off independently, with that controller.
No. There is only one wireless controller with separate, completely customizable controls for each side on it.This is the most fabulous heated mattress pad I have ever owned. In fact after many years and 365 days use (yes even in summer!) I am on my second one. It still works but not as warm as it used to be so I bought another one.. I like it warm and my husband does not so this is perfect for us. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one if I overuse this one! It's just that great.
#Heated_Mattress_Pad

QUESTION: HOW DO I REPLACE THE REMOTE PROGRAMMING PART? STOPPED WORKING. ITS NOT A BATTERY ISSUE. PURCHASED IN FEB 2015
Wouldn't that be a warranty claim? I would inquire of Sunbeam. Let them know about the short time of in service. They don't want noisy unhappy customers so I' sure you will gst some results.
I would contact Sunbeam. I couldn't answer your question. Good luck, this tells me what to expect.
#Sunbeam_Therapeutic_Review

QUESTION: I HAVE HAD MINE SEVERAL YEARS. I AM GETTING A BEEPING NOISE WHEN I PLUG INTO THE ELECTRICAL OUTLET. I CAN'T FIND MY MANUAL. IS THERE A FIX FOR THIS?
I get a beep when I plug in and when I turn on the remote to it. But it is only one beep. It has been normal for one beep if I plug it in, one beep if I turn it on from the remote and one beep when I turn it off from the remote. If younarengettimg a repeating beep hen I don't know.
If you send me your info I can send the section on the manual in regards to the beep .
Try your connections that plug into the pad, they may have come loose. Mine beeped when I first put it on the bed because my connections were not in all the way. It's a little difficult to get them in.
The Rest & Relieve Therapeutic Mattress Pad User Manual says: Check for physical damage, if no visual damage is found, unplug the system from wall outlet. Check that the control is well connected to the module. Plug the power cord into the wall and turn the control On. If the product still does not operate after 2 or 3 times trying to reset, disconnect the power cord and contact Sunbeam Consumer Care. www.sunbeam.com There's a 3 yr warranty

QUESTION: THERE ARE TWO DIFFERENT STYLES PICTURED IN THIS LISTING. WHICH ONE IS THE ONE YOU RECEIVE IF YOU ORDER- THE BOX QUILTED OR THE "WAVE" QUILTED?
The one that I purchased was a wave pattern. It was a king with wireless dual control and 3 body zones. We love it.
Wave quilted
Mine is the wave quilted.
I ordered the wave quilted and it's fantastic. My husband loves it as well.
#Sunbeam_Therapeutic

QUESTION: CAN THESE BE USED UNDER A DOWN FEATHER BED TOPPER?
Ours is just under a bedsheet. You wouldn't want anything heavy to separate the body from the heat, those pads don't get real hot.
Hi. I love my Sunbeam Therapeutic Heated Pad. It is wonderful. I wouldn't know why you couldn't use it under the down feather topper. You may not want to set the heat pad to as high of temperature because the topper will help heat the bed up and trap the heat in. Also, once the bed is heated, it takes a long time for it to cool down if you have a down feather topper. Guess I'm saying to start out with your new heat pad at a lower setting and move upward to your comfort level. One of my best investments ever. Enjoy
I took my down feather bed topper off before putting this heated mattress pad on, however the heat that is generated should be able to go through a quality topper. For safety reasons you might call SunBeam's customer service line, but other wise just turn up the heat to a higher temp. I don't think you would benefit from the preheat feature if you do put it under a pillow top.
#Heated_Mattress_Pad

QUESTION: IS THE TWIN MATTRESS TOPPER FITTED? THE REASON I ASK IS BECAUSE WE HAVE A SPLIT TOP KING ADJUSTABLE BED?
Yes it is fitted. I also have a split king adjustable bed. My topper fits great. I wouldn't be without the heat. I love it
Yes, it is fitted...it fits snuggly around my half of the bed... my bed is also a split top king adjustable bed. Hope you like it as much as I do.
#Sunbeam_Therapeutic_Review

QUESTION: WILL IT FIT AN EXTRA THICK MATTRESS?
Yes I think so. I have 2 mattresses totaling 17 inches or so and it could wrap around both if I wanted to.
I have an 18" mattress and it fits perfect. It's never slipped off the edges. If your mattress is deeper than 18" it might be a tight fit. I really like this mattress pad. The feature where I can warm up the whole bed but only heat the feet area while I sleep is awesome.
Yes, aboutley, have no fear. My mattress is 15"deep and it fit fine and stays in place. I am on my second winter, and it is still going strong and warm.
Easily fits my 14 inch thick mattress. Could go on thicker one.
Yes! Very nice fit.
Hi - We had ours on a very thick mattress - no problems. I did buy an extra matress pad to hold everything down though. Now we've switched to a temper-pedic matress - not so thick - so really no problems at all. But even if it doesn't quite go all the way down - this thing is so great - you should get it anyway. (Nope - don't work for Sunbeam - but I own 3. They are wonderful).

QUESTION: CAN CAL KING PAD FIT ON QUEEN SIZE MATTRESS?
I think it would be way to big. I have a king mattress and bought the king mattress pad and it covers the entire mattress .
If you got a queen size mattress then get a queen pad since the pad is designed to fit like a fitted sheet.
Yes it can
No, CAl king Matteres PAD is a lot bigger than a queen mattress.

QUESTION: WHAT IS THE WARRANTY ON THIS MATTRESS PAD? I HAVE BOUGHT TWO SUNBEAMS IN THE PAST AND AFTER A YEAR THEY STOP WORKING.
I believe it's one year. You might wanna go to Sunbeams website, it should tell you there. I can't believe amazon couldn't answer this?
3 year limited warranty. Www.sunbeambedding.com for more info.
This one gets 2 years. A lot longer than many others. Plus I love it :)
The warranty is a 3 year limited. I've only had this mattress pad for a few months and it works great! Mine is queen size and I use only one side at the moment, but it is easy to switch to both sides and heats really well. It has tem heat settings for each area of the body (which you can choose for yourself) and I have mine set on 2 which is warm enough for me. Its a great pad but as I said, I've only had it for a few months so I can't speak to its longevity.
Sunbeam mattress pads comes with a one to three year limited warranty, depending on the model. The phone number for Sunbeam consumer care is 1-800-892-7684 or www.sunbeam.com
one year

QUESTION: CAN YOU USE THIS ON TOP OF A FEATHER BED? ON TOP OF THAT IS IT POSSIBLE/ ADVISABLE TO ALSO PUT A WATERPROOF BARRIER ON TOP OF THAT?
No
No
I have a water resistant mattress pad that came with the craftmatic bed. The heated sunbeam pad goes on TOP of pad, with a bottom fitted sheet. As for feather bed is that a pad OR is whole mattress feathers?
Yes
