QUESTION: ARE THERE REUSABLE PADS FOR THIS PRODUCT?
No there aren't but I have found that I can use terry face cloths and microfiber cleaning cloths. These can be tucked into the 4 slots on top just like the Steamboost pads. First I wet the cloths and then ring them out so that they are damp before I put them on. This saves on the amount of steam I have to use at the start and makes the cloths fit a bit tighter.
No, but if you buy a bar rag and cut it to fit, You can use those. This is what I do and just throw then in the laundry to reuse again and again. A bar rag is a highly textured cloth they use in bars, and at least at my supermarket, they sell them there.
yes there are, you can buy them from Bissell on line or Bissell will tell you where you can buy them.
N0 - you must use the disposable pads because the dirt cannot be cleaned off them - they are made of paper.
There are NO reusable pads for this product, unless you make them yourself or find some sort of suitably sized fabric. All pads sold to be used with this product are disposable and cannot be re-used once soiled.
I brought some off ebay but the swifferpads work better cause they are wet. The reusable pad didn't slide as well.
YES buy them from amazon love the quick service
Yes you can buy them!
Sorry, I returned mine and do not know.

QUESTION: CAN THIS BE USED ON WALLS?
no, well I wouldn't
I don't think so, it uses steam which would damage drywall and paint.
I would never turn anything upside down that contained hot water. You never know if it might leak down on you. There are steamers designed to do that type of thing. They have tanks that stay on the floor and a hose that attaches to a wand that can reach floors, cabinets, etc.
I don't see why not. I use it on my baseboards all the time. The steam is hot, so be careful not to burn yourself.

QUESTION: AFTER THE FIRST USE I NOTICED A FEW DULL-LOOKING STREAKS THAT ARE STILL THERE AFTER GOING OVER THE FLOOR A SECOND TIME. AM I DOING SOMETHING WRONG?
I noticed that on my floors too. I ended up not using the swiffer pads, and just putting a terrycloth washcloth on the steamer, and using it that way, which is a lot harder to push. I'm tossing it and picking up a new Shark this weekend.
Acouple of thoughts. If your floor is really dirty, you will have the dull look until it is clean. This happened to me and I thought it was the mop. Turned out it was dirt I had moved around. Secondly, I wonder if it is possible for the scented pads to cause this.
I had the same problem and also it was hard to move without the pad coming off.
This stuff doesn't polish your floors. I found that you have to use a lot of cleaner with the product. The regular mop was just as good. Still you have to change the pads and use cleaner.
Sorry but I didn't have that experience -- I have laminate floors so there's never been any wax on them - wondering if you are talking about a waxed floor? If so I bet the steam etc is possibly lifting the wax? Just a guess on my part.

QUESTION: THE STEAMER COMES WIT 2 PADS, WHAT SCENT ARE THEY?
The scent on the pads is slightly fruity and then, goes to a "Cleaner" type of smell. It was negligible. It doesn't last and you can only smell it when you open the package. Don't waste your time. There is nothing special about these pads or the steamer. Swifter makes another type of wet pad that is just as good and you can get coupons for those.
One pad is called Open Window. The other is Febreez. Open Window is not as heavily scented as the Febreez

QUESTION: OK FOR NAILED DOWN OAK FLOORING THAT WILL BUCKLE IF TOO MUCH MOISTURE (SAY A PUDDLE OF WATER) WERE TO BE LEFT AND GET BETWEEN THE CRACKS?
There are many types of wood floors. I have natural oak parquet - not laminate. I don't know if your floor woould be affected but I do know that the steam left my oak parquet looking cloudy. I had to put some floor polish on it and used my buffer to make it look good again. Personally, I don't think wood and water really mix well no matter what the manufacturers state. I am going to stick to my special wood floor poish to clean my wooden floors. I'm also going to go back to using my Libman mop on my laminate floors and linoleum. The floors look better washed with my mop. I'll probably use the steamer once or twice a year. I hope this helps. Good luck..
Not completely sure. It does not leave "a puddle of fluid" as you use it and it dries very quickly. I would contact Swiffer to answer your question directly.
it should not leave any water unless you spill the water that is put into the reservoir, the swiiffer pad does not get drenched with water

QUESTION: $20.00 DIFFERENCE BETWEEN "FRUSTRATION-FREE PACKAGING" VS "STANDARD PACKAGING" ANY IDEA WHAT THE DIFFERENCE IS IN THE 2??
I don't know but I certainly would not chose The 20.00 difference in the cost. Ridiculous
Nope, but I did the $20 cheaper one and I love it. I would not spend the extra money on packaging. That is my advise
Absolutely no idea - I didn't see either when I ordered. Swiffer was in a company box packed in a heavy cardboard box.
no

QUESTION: HOW MUCH STEAM IS SUPPOSED TO COME OUT? AND HOW MUCH WATER WILL BE USED? I BARELY SAW ANY STEAM COMING OUT & MAYBE 1 OZ OF H2O WAS USED IN MY SM KTCH
There isn't a whole lot of steam but in my opinion, enough comes out to gently get the job done. I just want the floor sanitized, I don't want the top layer burned off. I have 7 cats and a dog, when they drink water from their dish it leaves water stains all over. The amount of steam that comes through the Swiffer is enough to take up the water marks and leave the floor feeling nice and clean under my bare feet.
Not much visible steam comes out, but the cleaning surface will be very hot to touch and you should see a little steam if you lift it to look at the cleaning surface. If you keep the trigger continually pressed in you'll go through the H20 faster. I usually use up all the water, but I'm cleaning approx. 1500 sq. feet of flooring. 1 oz for a small kitchen sounds normal.
You do see steam most of the time and you can hear it. I can do 4 rooms with one fill plus a hallway.
theres hardly steam coming out

QUESTION: WHERE DO I BUY REFILLS
I bought mine online from Amazon.com but I recall seeing them in Rite Aid and Walgreens/Duane Reade too.
most stores like WalMart have them.
We have been able to locate refills at Walmart.
My wife and I bought a box of 20 for $5 at Food Lion
I got them at Harris Teeter grocery store.
I buy my refills at the local grocery store (Publix). I would imagine that Walmart or Target might have the refills.

QUESTION: HOW WELL DOES IT WORK ON FLOORS WITH SOME TEXTURE? WE HAVE TILE WITH SUBSTANTIAL TEXTURE AND THE MOP TENDS TO MISS THE DIRT IN THE RIDGES. THANKS!
I have bathroom tile from Israel. It is heavily marbled with crevices that are cleaned well with the Swiffer Bissell. And my kitchen is a textured porcelain tile that comes clean as well.
David- If the Swiffer doesn't work for you then this wouldn't but asking my husband he said that you could it right over the ridges and it would steam them out but he said for a professional answer you might ask Swiffer directly as we do have only a regular floor no tiles and it works wonderfully.
I retuned this product. I used it on a hard wood floor and it left water streaks.
I'm sorry, I can't answer that. I have no tile. But, judging from the way it works on linoleum, I wouldn't trust it.
It doesn't really get into the grout.

QUESTION: IN ADDITION TO WATER CAN I ADD A SMALL AMOUNT OF VINEGAR TO USE WITH THE STEAM MOP?
I can only tell you this, I do not do this, but I do not think it would hurt, I us vinegar to clean the coffee pot.
yes
I've never done that, but I think it would be fine. Vinegar is clean and shouldn't cause any clogging.
Sorry meant febreeze
Yes you can, I have added a little febrile to it to help kill an odor I had behind my stove!

QUESTION: MY BATHROOM FLOOR IS VERY SMALL. CAN I USE THE SAME PAD 2 OR 3 TIMES?
I am not sure. The pad will be soiled and it is soaked with a cleaning solution, so it would dry out. Perhaps you could seal it in a baggie if it wasn't too soiled and use it again.
I don't think I would recommend this, it picks up a lot of dirt and it would dry out between uses.
If the floor isn't too dirty, the pad can be reused - I also wash it out one time and use it again. I also use an old washcloth in place of the pad - that works well and sure saves funds.
If you rinse it out well after you use it you should be able to use it again.
I haven't tried that so I'm not sure. The pad has cleaning solution on it so you would need to keep it from drying out. I would suggest that you call the 1-800 number on the package to confirm this.

QUESTION: DOES IT TRAP HAIR AND FINE DUST?
This product isn't a vacuum. I give my floors a thorough sweeping before I use the steam mop.
Yes it sure does. My daughter is a hairstylist and when she cuts hair you get those very small hairs, it picks it up thoroughly.
I think it does, I have 2 labs and the floor looks good after I mop. I have no complaints about the product.

QUESTION: DOES IT WORK GOOD ON HIGH GLOSS LAMINATE FLOORING WITHOUT LEAVING STREAKS?
It works very well and leaves no streaks. I recommend sweeping or mopping the floor before to be sure to sweep up loose dirt. Although, I have found better results with my Shark Steamer which just uses plain water for the steam. I would recommend using a moistened bar cloth to avoid using the swiffer sheet which has the cleaning solution on it. I have also used the steamer with plain water on my hardwood floor - if used lightly on the floor, it will not warp the floor, it just removes the dust that regular mopping doesn't always wipe up.
I have to go back over it with a (dry Swiffer sheet and the steam) on the steam booster, but it does get your laminate floors clean!
#Swiffer_Bissell_Steamboost_Steam_Mop

QUESTION: HOW HOT DOES THE STEAM GET? I AM RESEARCHING STEAM MOPS AND I WANT ONE WHERE THE STEAM IS ABOVE 200 DEGREES. MANY OF THEM ONLY ARE ABOUT 130 DEGREES.
My wife says Swisher is too hot to touch but likely in the 130 degree range. She adds it cleans beautifully with no pressure.
I have no idea.
#Swiffer_Bissell

QUESTION: CAN IT BE USED SAFELY ON LAMINATE WOOD FLOORING
Yes, that's what I use my for. It does a fabulous job for such an inexpensive tool. I use a wet washcloth instead of the steampad refills. Cleans much deeper and won't cost you for replacement cloths.
I have used it on our wood floors and they look awesome.
I am sorry I don't have that type only tile which it cleans so nice
I use it on mine safely
I have used it on mine, but I used a washcloth instead of the pads
I used it safely on my hardwood, tile, and linoleum floors. I imagine laminate would also be safe.
product page for Allure flooring (similar to laminate) says a steam cleaner is not to be used!
#Steamboost_Steam_Mop

QUESTION: CAN THIS BE USED WITH MICROFIBER RAGS INSTEAD OF THE CLOTHS?
I use the microfiber cloths and they work well for me, you just have to make sure it is a thin cloth for the steam to escape. I also use swiffer mop refills.
No use the Swiffer Bissell pads designed for this mop
#Swiffer_Bissell_Review

QUESTION: SAFE FOR VINYL FLOORING?
I don't see why it wouldn't be safe. I would guess, that an industrial strength steamer could lift the glue on vinyl , but this won't do anything. Really! NOTHING.
yes, it should be.
All ads I saw said it was safe for linoleum, laminate, hardwood etc., so I understood it to mean anything but carpet.
Yea it's good for vinyl however the trigger broke in s year and I wished I had spent twenty more for a higher end. It was also difficult to hold while cleaning. If you do go this route, I recommend using velcro to hold the trigger down.
I would say yes

QUESTION: HOW LONG IS THE CORD?
The cord on my perticurlar one is some 20inches give are take a few.
Let me revised that answer 20foot give or take a few inches.
Claire, 20 foot
Around 10ft long
#Swiffer_Bissell

QUESTION: HOW LONG IS THE CORD SINCE IT HAS TO BE PLUGGED IN FOR THE STEAM?
I think it's about 10' , so it's long enough to do a whole living room without having to unplug it.
It is very long, I have a small house and I can plug it into a central location and do the whole floor. I would say about 20 or 30 feet, if you had a big house I would say big enough to do any room without unplugging.
Wow it's long. I would say at least 5 feet or more.
Guesstimating 25ft. I just used it this morning and my tile floors look and feel spotlessly clean . Smells good too!

QUESTION: DO YOU HAVE TO USE DISTILLED WATER WITH THIS MOP?
No
No

No
No
#Swiffer_Bissell_Review

QUESTION: CAN YOU USE REGULAR SWIFFER WET MOPPING CLOTHS AS REFILLS? I HAVE A TON LEFT AND WANT TO KNOW IF I COULD USE THIS ON THE STEAMBOOST.
I've never tried the regular Swiffer mop cloths but see no reason why they wouldn't work. If you still have your old mop, take a cloth and bring it from the bottom onto the top of the mop on both sides. The steam mop has four places on top when the cloth fits in.
don't know, ask the manufacturer
I think so I would anyway.
i returned mine, did not work for my house so i am sorry, i can not answer this for u.
