QUESTION: ARE THE PADS THROW AWAY PADS
Yes, they are.
yes, they are disposable
Yes. It comes with two. A refill box runs about $8.99 (at Target). I really like my Steam mop...you can really see the clean after.
Yes, they are. You can't reuse them, unfortunately.
Yes they are. I like the washable myself.

QUESTION: IS THIS SAFE FOR LAMINATE WOOD FLOORS
I don't think so...it says "Do not use on unfinished, oiled, or waxed wooden floor boards...as they may be water sensitive." (from the label). I'm not sure I'd risk it, although my mom uses a Swiffer mop on hers. The issue here (IMHO) is the heat...not sure how it would do on the seams as it would penetrate deeper than just surface moisture. Good luck!
My experience with this mop on laminate floors has been fine. It works great.
Yes. When it says "do not use on unfinished, oiled, or waxed floors," they are talking about raw wood that has had actual wood wax rubbed on it, or very oily woods like teak. Laminate floors are not waxed, oiled, or unfinished -- they are finished with a hard laminate surface. While you cannot saturate laminate flooring with water (it makes the seams bubble up), you can run steam over them with no problem.

QUESTION: DOES THIS WORK FOR LAMINATED WOOD FLOOR?
Yes very well....
Yes, beautifully!!!
I would say for sure!
Yes it does. I have used it on my laminated floors.
Well, it does get the dirt off but, it leaves a dull residue. No shine. I have to re mop. That is all I have is laminated wood flooring.

QUESTION: DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW THIS PRODUCT COMPARES TO THE BISSELL STEAM MOP SELECT, TITANIUM? HOW LARGE IS THE WATER TANK AND HOW LONG IS THE CHORD?
I had to refill the tank once when mopping my family room/kitchen. But, the mop is ready very quickly after refill. The cord is VERY long. I like this better than the more expensive steam mop I purchased last year, because of the disposable pads. I feel bad about throwing them away, but, with the non-disposables, once they get dirty, you have to wash them, and sometimes they get too dirty in the middle of a job. Then, I'm stuck either pushing mud around the floor or waiting.
I am not familiar with the Bissell Titanium but I can tell you that the cord is long. I did my entire downstairs hardwood floors with one tank of water and without having to unplug/re-plug it in. I an very satisfied with this product.

QUESTION: CAN IT BE USED ON WOOD FLOORS
Definitely
Did not use it on my wood floors. Bought it just for the tile floors. Works decent on tile. Try Bona on the wood floors. That works great!
From what I've read, yes you can as long as they are sealed wood floors.

QUESTION: IS THIS PRODUCT AN "ALL IN ONE", I.E., DUSTS/MOPS AND WET CLEANS THE FLOOR OR DO YOU HAVE TO DRY MOP THE FLOOR FIRST?
I prefer to use with Swiffer duster first and then use the steam boost
you need to vac first
I haven't used it because once I took it out of the box and read the accompanying information I discovered it cannot be used on unsealed floors. Misleading advertising.
You should sweep or dry mop the floor first to remove any dirt/debris before you use the Swiffer/Bissel because it simply ejects steam to clean the floors and doesn't suction, but the results are worth it!
I don't see gaving to go over the floor firdt w a dry cloth but it could help the steam clean to not gather up so much gunk
It steams the floor and the pad wipes it up at the same time....so "all in one".

QUESTION: WHY CAN'T IT BE USED ON WAXED FLOORS?
I believe the steam will break down the wax.
I don't know....I have laminate and vinyl floors....no wax in my house.
Hmmm I do not know...sorry....maybe the steam gets too hot and melts the wax....just a guess

QUESTION: HELP ME OUT. TO WASH A DIRTY FLOOR WOULD YOU HAVE TO CHANGE THE PAD LIKE EVERY 5 SWIPES?
I only use one pad per floor - my floors are not extremely dirty - I usually clean them once a week.
It depends on how big the room is. I use one pad for my bathroom, which is a decent size. I use another for my son's bath and my kitchen, which are small rooms. I think for a larger dining/living room combination, you'd probably need to use a couple of pads.
This obviously depends on just how dirty the floor is. However, this steam mop is wonderful. The first time I used it, I did use 2 pads and that was for a large kitchen/dining room area and two bathrooms. The pads are pretty durable and can take a lot of dirt.
I guess it depends on how dirty your floor is, I clean the kitchen and both bathrooms

QUESTION: WILL IT WORK ON TILE FLOORS?
Yes it does!
I have tile, and it didn't harm my floor.
I would think so!
yes
It's best on tile floors.
Yes it will. I love it
Also have tried it out on tile and works very well with no damage.
#Swiffer_Bissell

QUESTION: WOOD FLOORING
yes
Yes, as long as it is sealed, which most wood is. I even use it on my pergo flooring, though I am using a rag with some diluted Murphy's oil soap instead of the Swiffer cleaning pads. The scent was too strong for me. The floors are so shiny!
Yes, if it is sealed, but remember to never leave any steam cleaner that is turned on (and steaming) sitting on it for too long in one place.
Leaves a gross film making any surface look dull.
I cannot help you there as I only have tile. I do now that it is to work on finished floors not unfinished. I really like this little steammop. It cleanes real well on my tile.
yes, I love it, I did not respond because I did not use it. really steams the floor and cleans it, absolutely worth it.

QUESTION: WILL IT WORK ON CONCRETE FLOORS
If your concrete floors are smooth, it will work well. If your concrete floors are textured, it will be difficult to clean with any steam mop, as it won't get into the grooves/divits.
no the pads will tear
#Swiffer_Bissell_Review

QUESTION: FRAGRANCE FREE
If this is a question, the mop is simply steam, so yes. It depends on the cleaning pad you attach, which is for the most part fragrance free. You could feasibly use a wet cloth though, though I did not try this.
The cleaner in the pads have a fragrance, but it is mild.
The fragrance is driven by the type of pads you use and I believe there is a fragrance free version. Check out Target or Walmart for varieties available.
I don't know if they have a fragrance free version yet, however the clean linen seems to be ok...esp since my husband has allergies and this does not seem to bother his at all
I doubt there is a fragrance free option, but the fragrances they have are really lovely! I am partial to the lavender vanilla.

QUESTION: CAN YOU USE ON LAMINATE FLOORS
I have laminate floors, and have not had any problems.
Yes, that is what I have. Only negative is the price of refills
Don't see why you can't but I have not tested it on laminate floors.
#Swiffer_Bissell

QUESTION: I'M VERY SENSITIVE TO SMELLS. HOW STRONGLY SCENTED ARE THE PADS, AND HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR THE SMELL TO DISAPPEAR?
These have a VERY light scent which dissipates quickly, but u can substitute a dampened hand towel or other cloth instead. Terry cloth style towels are especially good with the Swiffer. Take care, DJ
They didn't seem overly strong, somewhat like a lightly scented candle. To be honest I'm not sure how long the smell took to disappear but I don't recall it being that long. Sorry I can't be more precise.
I personally find the scent overpowering and ended up going over the entire floor with a wet , un scented rag to cut the smell. Too strong for me!

QUESTION: DOES IT HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PLUG WITH THREE PRONGS OR TWO AND IF THREE, CAN IT BE USED WITH AN ADAPTER FOR OLDER TWO-PRONG OUTLETS?
It is a standard 2 prong
Two Pronged
I'm sorry, I don't remember.

QUESTION: DOES IT WORK ON HARDWOOD/BAMBOO FLOORS WELL?
Dear L.Worthington: my floors are Pergo, and it works wonderfully. I'd think it would do fine on hardwood, as it is not especially damp. You can feel the heat from the steam but I have no residual wetness on the floor after using it. Hope this helps! I really like the product and wish I had purchased it sooner.
I don't know. My floors are vinyl and works ok. I use the wet mop fillers (cheaper) that work fine.
I only have laminate floors and tile. I did read on their website that it is okay for hardwood. Here is the link: http://www.swiffer.com/products/swiffer-steamboost-steam-mop Hope it helps :)

Electric cord

QUESTION: IS THIS GOOD FOR WOOD?
Yes, it is good on wood, laminate, linoleum, tile....
Yes, it can be used on hardwood or laminate flooring!
We use on tile
Yes, I have wood floors!
As long as the wood has been sealed - polyurethane or the like. I wouldn't ues it on untreated wood. But it did a nice job on my wood floors.
I find it very good
When I first purchased this product I checked on the manufacturer's website and they say it's okay for laminate wood flooring but not unfinished wood floors. It doesn't pool with water when using it but I could see why over time it could warp real wood floors perhaps unless they are well sealed?

QUESTION: WILL THIS CLEAN GROUT AND RETURN IT TO IT'S ORIGINAL COLOR?
I don't have white grout. I have a shade of grey which the store suggested that I buy.
Not sure, can't hurt!

QUESTION: DO YOU HAVE TO BE CAREFUL WITH THE STEAM ON LAMINATE FLOORS?
Any spills you want to clean up quickly, but the steam mop uses very little water, it is steam and does not puddle. So far I have not had any issues with the mop.
I have laminate floors, myself, and there is no problem with steam warping or otherwise harming the floors. It's not that easy to get too much steam, and the cleaning pad picks up any extra moisture. Hope this helps.
No, the steam isn't bad - I just use the machine and then don't walk on the floors for a few minutes. It does fine.
No, not in my experience. It dries almost instantly.

QUESTION: CLOTH
what's the question
Kind of cloth and paper
Wet pads
?
I don't know because I can't use the Steamboost so I didn't open the box.
#Swiffer_Bissell

QUESTION: IS THIS PRODUCT GOOD ON LAMINATE FLOORING?
I use mine on my kitchen tile floor and it is awesome It removes dirt that I didn't even realize was there. So I would think it should do a good job on your floor .I checked my instruction book and it does say it can be used on laminate
I use the Steamboost on all my laminate floors and it works well, however, I do sometimes use a dry cloth right after using it to dry the floor because the water tends to spot when dried. It could be because I don't use the pre-moistened pad that they recommend but rather a cleaning cloth fitted over the cleaning surface of the S'boost.

QUESTION: WHAT IS SIOC
"Ships In Own Container" - Packaged in the manufacturer's plant.
sorry I have no idea
#Swiffer_Bissell_Review

QUESTION: IS IT REALLY SAGE TO USE ON 'SEALED' HARDWOOD FLOORS?
Yes
Yes
It is only steam that comes out and it dissipates quickly. There is no water left on the floor so I don't see any problem with the wood floors. I would definitely use it on a wood floor, but if you are nervous, I would follow my instincts.
I honestly don't know. We have stained concrete floors and I don't use for a few weeks with steam after we wax them, which we do only once a year. My advice would be to talk to either the manufacturer of the floors or maybe someone at Lowe's could help you. I'm sorry I don't have a better answer.

QUESTION: IT APPEARS THAT THE STEAM TRIGGER HAS BROKEN, 18 MONTHS OLD, ANY OTHERS HAVE THIS PROBLEM?
I haven't had this problem. I've only had my swifter for about a month. So far it's working very well.
I did not have this problem , I'm very happy with my Swiffer Bissell, work very well
I cut the upc code from the box, so there is a hole in the box. The item itself is brand new. I am not sure where your question comes from...
I've only had mine for a few months so far notthing hads happen to it.I dont hold down on the trigger for long just tap it and the steam comes out as I am using it.Take a light torch.

QUESTION: DOES ALL SWIFFER STEAMBOOST HAVE A CORD?
Yes.
yes, mine has a cord.
mine does
#Swiffer_Bissell_Review

QUESTION: DOES THIS WORK ON PAINTED CONCRETE FLOORS?
It might lift the paint. I only used how it was recommended on the instructions
Sorry I can't help with your question; I returned mine after one day to the store for a refund.
Not certain, but I think it should work okay. The pads (like other swiffer pads) have a light cleaning solution in them and the steam from the mop isn't so hot or heavy that it would remove the paint. If you regularly mop the floor, the steamboost should do a nice job on it.
The only limitations I can find is on polished wood floors. I think I would test a small spot to be sure.
