QUESTION: CAN WE ATTACH REUSABLE CLOTH(SOME RUG AVAILABLE AT HOME) FOR WET MOPPING?
yes, it shouldn't be any more difficult than the original cloth as long as they are not any thicker than the original ones. the tabs that hold down the cloth ate a little flimsy so be careful not to break them if the reusable cloth is thicker than the original ones.
I would not do so. The cloths are very thin and are pre-moistened with a special cleaning solution. A rug would be much too thick. I don't see how you could attach it using the grippers on the sweeper.
I routinely attach a microfiber cloth for wet mopping and a white cloth rag for drying. Does it fit perfectly-- no. Does it work-- yes. There are wet mopping cloths from swiffer but they are scented, which I loathe.
No. The dry & wet cloths are really thin. I doubt there is anything re-usable that would work. If you want to wet mop, I would use a good old fashioned mop.

QUESTION: WHY DO THE HANDLES BREAK SO OFTEN?
I have found that the handles do not break, but the foam pad onto which you put the duster cloth wears out and comes off, so that the cloth will not stay on without using a couple of rubber bands to hold it one ... then it is not effective.
The handle snapped on my Home Health Aid when she was using it this week. It's only been used less than 20 times! I'm going to try to super glue it. Darned if I'll invest in another one and only get less than 2 dozen uses out of it!

QUESTION: HOW EFFECTIVE IS SWIFFER ON HARDWOOD FLOORS? CAN YOU APPLY A GLOSS USING A SWIFFER?
It works great on hardwood floors, and the wet clothes that come with it are a great addition. I would not use it to apply a gloss to the floor, it is not a sponge so the gloss would not stick to it long enough for you to place on the floor. I just use a simple $5 sponge mop from walmart to apply a gloss to my hardwoods and that seems to work the best.
Swifter can make your wood floor shine on their own. However, one can also spray Bona and get a shinier result.
I have both tile and wood floors, and the Swiffer does a great job. As for applying a gloss, I would imagine that you could use your own cloth with product. The dry Swiffer cloths are meant to trap and hold dirt, not to apply any kind of finish. My wood floors have a permanent finish, so I have no need to apply anything else. Sorry I could not be more helpful.

QUESTION: DOES THIS STARTER PACK COME WITH SOME WET AND DRY MOP PADS? IF SO HOW MANY? I WANT TO TRY THE PRODUCT FIRST BEFORE PLACING ORDER FOR MOP PADS.
The pack I bought had 2 dry and 1 wet. If you have never used a Swiffer, you will love it.
Yes, it came with one of each mop pad.
It comes with one wet mop pad and if I remember correctly, three dry pads.
I did receive one wet and one dry pad. One is all you really need to see the results, which is why I ended up ordering more, especially the wet pads.

QUESTION: WHAT ARE THE DIMENSIONS OF THE PACKAGING WHEN SHIPPED?
it was very light 4.9 x 2.2 x 12.4 inches ; 1 pounds mine came in original box very secured no damages.
The box was not "fitted" it was larger than the products I ordered refills plus the mop together but it was still a small box I am sorry I really don't know the dimensions of the box. But I can tell you it wouldn't fit in a mail box
As of April 2014, mine came in a huge box that was way too big, about 5.5x10x40. Yes, 40 inches long. Apparently, this kit is not like the one I already own. The one I own has a 3-piece detachable post. This new one I got is one piece post that you can pull to extend it until it locks in place. This different design of the post is probably a good thing for some, but definitely not a favorable feature to me. I prefer the "compact" size post where I can customize the height of the product.

QUESTION: CAN WE USE THE WET WIPE MOB ON LAMINATED FLOORS?
Yes you can. It works great
Yes you can. It works great
I use mine on my tiles, you can go to Swiffer.com for more details on laminated floors.
Yes
yes i use it on my kitcken floor all the time gets it cleaner and smells so good after. hope this helps :)
I do not know the answer. I used it on tiles and it is fine. This product is a piece of junk, by the way. You are better off shopping around a bit.

QUESTION: ANYONE KNOW HOW TO PUSH THE EXTENSION HANDLE BACK TO THE SHORTER FORM? IT'S TOO LONG FOR MY MOM TO USE EFFECTIVELY. THANKS
You can remove one of the pieces of the handle. You push the little buttons on the sides so they are completely in - hold down both buttons (one button on each side) at the same time and then pull up - that should release the piece of the handle. You can pull out the middle piece and not use it but then it might not be long enough. The handle isnt adjustable so other than pulling out one of the pieces, I dont think there is anything else you can do to make it shorter.
The first instructions on how to make the swiffer handle shorter are exactly correct. Look for the little buttons on the side of the silver handle and push them in at the same time.

QUESTION: FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO USED BOTH, HOW DOES SWIFFER WETJET COMPARE TO A SPIN MOP? HEARD SWIFFER GETS PRICEY OVERTIME.
I absolutely love mine. I can get a lot of use of mine. The swifter picks up better than a spin mop. The money is worth it in the long run
It is convenient and easy to use than a spin mop. It depends how you look at the money spent. I think it worth it by saving some of my time. I suggest you can buy the kit and give it a try.

QUESTION: IS THIS THE CHILD SIZE? IT IS COMING UP UNDER KID SIZE SWIFFER.
No. It is regular size, just like those in department stores
The one that I purchased was NOT child size. They could probably use it but the handle is adult size. +
No not at all. Its regular size
I have no idea where this could have come from. It certainly not a child's object or toy!
It fits adults, though handle is a little shorter and head is narrower. It is understandable, because a user doesn't want to use both hands, that will put too much force on it. Now I understand why this item looks popular: because it turned mop to a fast consumer good so that all sellers are pushing the sale. I used to think that the popularity was due to high product quality.
It's just the regular size.

QUESTION: I NEED TO CLEAN PANELING AND WALLBORD PRIOR TO PAINTING. WOULD THIS WORK?
I didn't think it worked well for my floors. I would not attempt to use it on wood paneling especially wet.
I would think not since it is designed for flooring not wood paneling.
yes
sure its very light ... nice long handle ... have some extra pads on hand because they might tear if the surface has some rough edges

QUESTION: AMAZON OFFERS A "SUBSCRIPTION" FOR RE-DELIVERY. DOES THIS ENTIRE UNIT REALLY NEED TO BE REPLACED EVERY FEW MONTHS? OR JUST THE SWEEPER HEADS?
I used mine for years before the padding deteriorated and came off the head. The new model has an updated design so I can't speak to how long this unit will last. I certainly hope for years and years. The only replacements needed are the 'cloths' which last ~1 per average sized room; of course it depends on how dusty/dirty/pet hairy your floor is.
Just the sweeper heads. I have my handle for almost 2 years.
The handle unit is rather sturdy. I would look for the refills only to be replenished.
I do not know the answer to this question.

QUESTION: IS THE MOP PAD REUSABLE?
No.
There is a rubber mop head that the mop sheets attach to. The mop sheets are single use but the mop head doesn't need to be replaced (maybe it would with heavy use). However, you don't "mop" without the disposable part.
The swiffer is reusable. The swiffer wifes must be discarded after each use.
No, they are both disposable wet or dry pads.

QUESTION: I'M TRYING TO DISSEMBLE THIS BUT CAN'T SEEM TO SEPARATE THE MIDDLE SECTION FROM THE HANDLE SECTION. IS THERE SOME SORT OF TRICK TO IT?
Try pressing the metal ball thingy and then when it's pressed down, you should be able to easily pull it off. Wiggling t a little may help.
I don't think it's supposed to be disassembled. Shipped with the 2 handle sections compressed, once pulled out to full length, it's supposed to remain that way.
based on the answers given, there may be 2 styles. The one I had was in separate sections that you press the ball to disassemble. Sounds like there may be another style that is one piece that pulls to a full length.

QUESTION: DOES IT WORK WITH TILES?CAUSE IM TIRED OF SWEEPING MY HOUSE /:
I use the covers for the Bissell Steam Mop and clean my tile floors
Yes it does.
it does pick up quite a lot of dust/hair but leaves, sand, pebbles... that you will still have to sweep.

QUESTION: DOES THIS MOP COME FOLDED, LIKE CAN I PACK IT IN A SUITCASE TO TRAVEL WITH?
Yes, it is folded in a box like 16"x8"x1"
Yes. The Mop comes in a small box. Perfect for travel!
Hi Layla, this mop actually doesn't fold but it detaches into 5 different pieces. I guarantee it will fit in a suitcase. The box that it comes in is pretty small and it will also fit in your suitcase. I hope this answers any questions that you may have had. I personally love this product on my wood floors because it disinfects the area, smells nice, and scrubs away dirt and grime. I would recommend it to anyone that doesn't have carpet floors.
No

QUESTION: DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO GET THE SWIFFER X-LARGE WET MOPPING CLOTH REFILLS?
Sorry...don't have that large one. Guess: If not Amazon, eBay?
I would hope to be able to get them on Amazon - but if not, my local Target carries the full line of Swiffer.

QUESTION: IS THE GREEN PART THAT ATTACHES TO THE MOP (NOT THE HANDLE) PLASTIC? HAS ANYONE HAD ANY ISSUES WITH THAT PART BREAKING
If I understand your question correctly, you are asking about where the mop head attaches to the handle/mop stick. Yes, the swivel mount is plastic, on both the mop body and mop stick. I have used the mop twice a week since October 2013, and have had no problems or symptoms indicative of potentially breaking.
Mine brooke after six months of purchase and have not be able to find a replacement therefore yes is plastic and yes its problem. i avoid use the mop at this point because its too low to use i do love the mop!

QUESTION: CAN IT BE USED ON WOOD FLOORS?
Couldn't think of a better place to use it
Absolutely!
i use it on my lamented floors. I would say yes.
Yes the sweeper can be used on wood floors. Thats what I actually use mine for, and it works great.

QUESTION: CAN THESE PADS BE USED SAFELY ON PERGO FLOORING?
I do not know, sorry, I do not have ergo flooring in my house. I would be in shock if they couldn't... but I bet if you went to the companies website it would say. Its just a guess, but I would say yes. I rarely use the wet ones.. I tend to use the dry ones. In all honesty, I have a maid, so I am not certain what all she uses in what rooms... but I use the dry a lot when she is not here .. and the wet in the kitchen and bathrooms.. but she comes twice a week.
Yes if its a Pergo laminate. I'm not sure I would use it on a real hardwood consistently.
Yes

QUESTION: PLEASE TELL ME WHAT IS THE TOTAL LENGTH (HEIGHT) OF THIS THING? I OWN A SMALL ONE (ABOUT 41") AND IT HURTS MY BACK TO USE. I ONCE SAW A TALLER ONE.
The length is approx, 40.5 inches from the pad to the green handle.. So this is not a taller one.
The Height Of Mine Is 4 Feet Which Is Approximately 48 Inches. I Luv Mine. It is very easy to use. I have Osteoarthritis and Fibromyalgia and a very bad lower lumbar problem in my back and this helps because I do not have to bend over and also I just picked up a box of the wet cloths they are terrific. I truly believe this will be good for you. Robin

QUESTION: WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE SWIFFER SWEEPER IN THE STARTER KIT AND THE TWO IN ONE. THEY BOTH APPEAR TO ACCEPT WET AND DRY PADS. THANKS
I think they are similar the 2 in one is the starter it comes with the pads to start a person and the other you just buy it and use the same stuff just don't have the extras in it.
I don't know. I just thought that the 2 in 1 was a good idea for my floors that seem to collect a lot of dust. so I dust and then put on the wet pads which removes the spots of anything I have dropped.

QUESTION: CAN I USE THIS ON LAMINATE FLOORS?
yes
Hello Yes you can.
#Swiffer_Sweeper_Review

QUESTION: WHATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEN THE SINGLE FOR 10.99 AND THE SWIFFER SWEEPER BASE FOR 20.99 WHAT THE DIFFERENCE
the lesser one is dry cleaning like a broom.the other one is with a spray cleaner you need judge what u need. Both are excellent.
Nothing. They are still the same plastic frame. Maybe a little wider. But I would just get the cheaper option.
I couldn't figure that out either. They are not very good at explaining the differences, so I went with the $10.99 option.
I believe you get more extra pads.
