QUESTION: IS THIS MADE IN FRANCE?
yes T Fal is made in France ......
I believe so. It's a great skillet for bacon. Best I've ever had.
I don't know. I looked at mine and it doesn't say where it is made.
Some of their products are now made in Chinq
NO. I just called T-Fal on 1-7-2015 and they said ALL of their cookware is made in CHINA except for one set of pans that does not include this fry pan. Their web site says France and it is wrong.
Tefal is a French cookware and small appliance manufacturer owned by Groupe SEB. Its name is a portmanteau of the words TEFlon and ALuminium. Tefal is known for creating the non-stick cookware category.[1] A British slogan of the '80s and '90s "Tefal Head" or "Tefal Man" referred to a smart person. This was inspired by the Tefal advertising campaign in which adverts all consisted of actors playing scientists with oversized foreheads (thus giving the impression of intelligence). In some countries like the United States, Tefal is also marketed as T-Fal. DuPont insisted on the name change since Tefal was too similar to their product name of Teflon.[2]
I honestly do not know...
Sorry, I don't know. I didn't pay attention when I purchased it. I purchased it because I already had a T-Fal pan that I had received as a gift and I loved and I wanted to get another size. I can tell you they are great everyday pans.

QUESTION: WILL THIS PAN SIT FLAT ON A GLASS TOP STOVE?
Yes it should. Great skillet for bacon and such. Heats evenly. No hot spots. I'm really happy with it.
I have a ceramic top stove and this pan fits like it was made for the burner love the t fal
It will fit on any stove so long as it's the only pan on the stove. The handles get in the way should there be another pot or pan on the stove at the same time.

QUESTION: IS THERE A LID OUT THERE SOMEWHERE FOR THIS 13.5" T-FAL PAN???
i haven't found one. but there is a screen, for frying. i found that at the local dollar store.
It is hard to find universal frying pan lids over 12 inches in diameter, but I don't use a lid at all. I use a large piece of 18-inch heavy-duty aluminum foil, which after use I can clean, fold up, store (in a gallon, sixe zip-lock or slider bag) & re-use until it starts break apart (after that I just rip off another piece of foil large enough to cover the frying pan).
I have this pan too and absolutely love it. I haven't found a lid yet either, but just use loosely draped aluminum foil over the top of the pan. Hope this helps...
Yes! Look under universal frying pan lids. There is an aluminum one that will fit 12-14 inch pans. I have one that's vented for each size but I bought it at a local kitchen store . The one here is just $15 .
I've never seen a lid for this item.
I couldn't find one sorry

QUESTION: IS THE CENTER OF PAN FLAT, OR HUMPED?THANKS FOR YOUR FEEDBACK.
flat
It starts out flat, but over time mine has developed a hump. Most of the large pans I have used that are made of some unheavy material get a hump.
It's flat
as someone else stated, it starts off flat then becomes convex. I usually take a rubber mallet to the pan every few months to fix the issue.LOL

QUESTION: WHAT TEMPERATURE IN THE OVEN CAN IT TAKE?
Non stick pans should not be used in an oven over 350 degrees. If you just want to brown something quickly in the broiler, that would be OK, I do it all the time.
i would recommend against putting it in the over as the instructions advise against high temperatures as it can damage the non-stick coating.
I'm not sure. I have not put it in. Most handles can go up to 350. I just use it on stove top only. Best pan for the money.
Honestly I've never put it in the oven, but I would be careful because the red dot in the center of the pan can't get too hot or the pan isn't as effective, so maybe just on warm in the oven. It's excellent for stovetop though.
I am not 100% positive, but the way I do anything with the plastic looking handles is never to put it in more than a 350 oven. But then, I very rarely put mine in the oven anyway. But it has been used on the grill.
I am not sure, it was a gift so I have not used it.

QUESTION: INDUCTION
The heating is even all across the skillet. No hot or cold spots.
what is your question?
I believe the reference is to the inductive effect - the redistribution of electron density. The heat evenly distributes across the pan. I'm not an engineer; I'm a cook. The pan doesn't have just a hot spot in the middle; it has a nice even heat for cooking.

QUESTION: 1. COULD SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE ME THE EXACT MEASURMENTS OF THIS PAN, DIAMETER AND DEPTH? 2. IS THIS PAN SAFE IN THE OVEN UP TO 350? THANKS
The pan is 13" in diameter and 2" deep. Nowhere on the pan does it say "oven proof". Generally, I would never use a Teflon coated pan in the oven. Use cast iron for ovens or maybe aluminum without plastic handles or any coating in the pan. You can wrap a plastic handle with several layers of alum for safety.
13.25 wide and almost 2.25 deep and no it would not be safe in the oven up to 350 for any length of time, cast iron is the only way to go for that
13" x 2", not sure about 350 in oven. You could read the manufacturers info at Amazon.
I don't have that information. Check the manufacturers specs at Amazon.

QUESTION: IS THE PAN OVEN SAFE TO 500 DEGREES
No. Non-stick pans are safe to 350 degrees.
I would not use this in the oven.
I don' t think so. It has plastic parts on it.
I don't know; I only use it on top of the stove, not in the oven.
Tfal's Excite series is oven safe to 500. Not this series. Sorry.

QUESTION: IS THE PRESENT VERSION BEING SOLD MADE IN CHINA OR IN FRANCE?? DOES IT STATE MADE IN FRANCE ON THE BOTTOM OF THE PAN??
it does not have anything on the bottom of the pan except T- fal
The bottom only says "t-fal"
It does not say either France or China on my pan, just TFal.
Thank you for your response. That means that your pan was made in China or elsewhere. The ones made in France are stamped on the bottom as being "Made in France". I've had one before and it is of superior quality.
I like the size of the pan and quality is pretty good but it tends to send the oil to the sides of the pan as if the middle is humped but I still use it a lot.

QUESTION: WILL THE RIDGES ON THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAN SCRATCH MY CERAMIC GLASS TOP STOVE?
I also have a glass top stove. Have not had any scratches.
I don't know. We did not keep the pan.
Our stoves instructions say don't use aluminum,it will leave aluminum marks, hard anodized aluminum is ok to use
#T-fal_A74009

QUESTION: IS THERE A LID AVAILABLE?
This particular pan is a saute or fry pan that does not have a lid. T-Fal offers other types of pans with lids.
I've purchased this pan and other sizes of this same style and I've never seen a lid. I've purchased it from Amazon (in different sizes) a few times and I've purchased another size from a brick and mortar store and have never seen a lid offered.
I don't believe a lid is available; however, I also bought the T-fal A9108274 specialty Nonstick 5 Quart Jumbo Cooker with glass lid Fry Pan. The glass lid for this pan works fairly well. It's not full size, but it works well enough for me.

QUESTION: DOES THE BOTTOM OF THE PAN HAVE A COPPER RING?
The bottom of the pan does not have a copper ring.
My pan does not have a copper ring. Neither do any of my other T-fal pans.
It does not have a copper ring, neither inside nor out

QUESTION: WHAT ARE THE DIMENSIONS OF THE FLAT PART OF THE PAN THAT ACTUALLY TOUCHES THE STOVE?
10 1/4"
A full ten inches. It's a great pan for stir-fry! I'm a small person and the extra handle makes using it a joy.
It's round so all measurements of the pan are even on all sides. The pan measure 10 and almost 3/4" (almost 27 cm). I use this pan as my main pan on the stove top. I have a gas stove. The heat distribution is pretty good as well.
10 3/4 inches
Flat bottom is 10.75 inches in diameter. The top rim of the pan is 13 inches.
10.5"

QUESTION: WHAT IS THE OVEN SAFE TEMPERATURE
I don't know that I would use this product in the oven because of the handles.
It is my understanding Teflon pans are NOT oven proof. You need a cast iron pan for that.
350

QUESTION: DOES IT WORK WITH INDUCTION COOKING, DOES A MAGNET STICK TO THE BOTTOM?
A magnet does not stick to the bottom, it had me wondering so I just had to try that .. :)
Hi Jeff, I tried putting a magnet on this pan and it doesn't stick, it did stick to other T-fal pans that I have, but again, no not this one.
It is my understanding that induction cooking requires special pots and pans. This pan was not made for induction cooking and a magnet does NOT stick to the bottom.
I don't have any answers to this inquiry..

QUESTION: DOES THIS PAN HAVE THE ABILITY TO USE METAL UTENSILS, LIKE THEIR PROFESSIONAL SERIES NON-STICKS?
No, I would not suggest that.
I don't use metal utensils on any of my non-stick cookware.

QUESTION: IS THIS PAN GOOD FOR FRYING EGGS WITH LITTLE TO NO OIL? WILL FRIED EGGS STICK?
Yes. I use very little oil or Pam spray. On occasion, I have used nothing at all. No sticking. It's a great pan.
I've cooked eggs with just non-stick spray in this pan and it didn't stick at all. However, I've had this pan for about a year and it's starting to stick now without more oil.
Foods should not stick. Even with non-stick pans I usually use a product like Pam anyway. Maybe it's habit. This is a great pan. Hope this helps.

QUESTION: IS THERE A LID MADE FOR THIS SKILLET?
No
No
Not as far as I know. I used a large lid I have for another pan...
#T-fal_A74009

QUESTION: WHAT IS THE DIAMETER OF THE BOTTOM OF THE PAN? (MEASURE THE SURFACE IN CONTACT WITH STOVE PLEASE)
It measures 10 and 13/16 inches across the bottom.
10 7/8" diameter is the surface that conacts the burner.
Approximately 11 inches
11 inches
It is a little less than 11 inches. We have had this pan for about 6 months now and still love it - no tilting toward the handle so things cook evenly.
11-1/4"

"Screwed"

http://www.t-falusa.com/Consumer+service/Contact+Us/Contact+Us+USA.htm Contact these guys and maybe they can give you some guidance. I would not try subjecting any cookware to induction heating unless the manufacturer says it's OK.
