QUESTION: HOW DEEP IS IT?
From the top of the pan without the lid, it is 2 3/4 inches. From the top of the lid rim, it is 3 inches deep.
Two inches
about 7.5 cm, 2.96 Inch. I think the size is perfect for a 3 to 4 servings dish (vegetable).
From the top of the lid to the bottom, it is 3 inches. From the rim without the lid, it is 2 3/4. It is a big pan. I love mine. Lots of room to cook up a lot of potatoes and onions. Can do a rost in it too. Hope this helps.

QUESTION: CAN I USE IT ON AN INDUCTION STOVE?
Because the pan is mostly aluminum, you'll need an induction interface disk (either steel or iron). This pan won't work by itself with induction.
I use the pan on a glass stove top.
I wouldn't test my pot in an Induction Stove, unless the product say you can DON'T....
induction cooking requires magnetic materials for it to function properly,i do not know the properties of this unit, suggest you ask the manufacturer.........sorry.

QUESTION: DONT USE METALS ON PAN BUT WHAT ABOUT "FLAKES" AND PEELING. I BROUGHT A NONSTICK AND IT STARTED TO FLAKE IN 5 WEEKS??
I have had my original pan for almost 3 years. Inside is still great, I use teflon utensils to avoid scratching.
I have two of these and one is a year old and it is just as nice when bought it. No flaking.
I have had no problems with flaking. I always use plastic utensils.
no flaking or peeling, but not as heavy as my last one.

QUESTION: IS THE BOTTOM OF THE PAN THAT RESTS ON MY GLASS COOKTOP SMOOTH OR DOES IT HAVE RIDGES?
my wife says its flat bottom
The bottom of the pan is NOT smooth. It has ridges. I also have a glass cooktop.
It has what's called a step-cut bottom. But the grooves are very shallow and even, not sharp. It'd prob be fine for your glass cooktop, especially given how easy it is to pick up with the two handles, there should be no need to slide it around.

I use it for sautéing and simmering
Not really but can be used as one
This is a large pan with 3 inch sides. I've used it for everything including sauteed vegetables, fried foods and eggs. It is great for cooking vegetables because the lid has a steam vent which helps to cook them faster.

QUESTION: WHEN THE HANDLE COMES LOOSE, DO YOU NEED A STAR SCREWDRIVER TO TIGHTEN IT?
Nope. The handle is held on with rivets. I've had $100 frying pans I wasn't happy with. This twenty-buck pan is better than all of them. The non-stick surface is particularly good.
