QUESTION: WHAT ARE THE ACTUAL DIMENSIONS OF THE COOKING SURFACE? ALSO, HOW FAR DO THE HANDLES STICK OUT?
The dim from outside of one handle to outside of other handle is 23 3/4" the handles stick out 2 3/4" the pan is 11 1/4 x 18 1/4 the actual flat cooking surface is 10 x 17 hope that helps
pan: 11 3/16 X 18 1/4. Handles: 2 1/2 ea. total w:23 1/4. Sorry this took so long to answer.
The griddle covers 2 burners totally. The handler stick out about 3 inches each, but it still fits on the stove very well.
The inside dimensions are difficult to arrive at due to the rounded inside edges. 16" long, 10" wide, and the handles extend 3" on each side. The clearance of the handles are designed to grip the grill without burning your fingers if used as an oven grill. Using it as an oven grill is not desirable since the grill is to long, and the silicone covers cannot be removed.
I am very satisfied with my T-falA9211494, it does everything I wanted it to do, cook pancakes, and I love to cook onions, peppers, mushrooms and potatoes together as a side dish, so it just the size for that. I am pleased!
The actual cooking surface is 17" x 10.5". The handles stick out approximately 3 inches. Hope this helps.

QUESTION: CAN YOU USE THIS ON A GLASS TOP STOVE? ALSO, I DO NOT HAVE A BRIDGE BURNER, WILL IT STILL WORK?
I use mine on a glass top just fine......
I also have glass top works fine, of course it's hottest over burners but will cook a pound of bacon and hold all the grease , I like it
I use it on a glass top stove and just put on two burners. Its a bit cooler in the center this way but not bad. Maybe an extra minute on the pancakes.
sorry i don't know about usage on the glass top. i have used it under 2 burners at the same heat but it wasn't the same as using the middle burner

QUESTION: HAS ANYBODY HAD THIS GRIDDLE WARP?
Yes - I did. I wrote letters to Amazon about the T-Fal product and got no response. I did not wash it in the dishwasher. It was bad.
Mine did. I probably got two uses out of it. I didn't overheat or misuse. I wouldn't recommend.
Not here...and we use it constantly.
No and we used it quite a bit. We always hand wash it
My 11 year old has learned to make pancakes on it and it's still as true as the day we got it. For the money it's a good buy and like most things, if taken care of it should last a long time. When over heated I did notice some even heaving in the center but it hasn't stayed
Yes I used it over a hot fire and it did warp but not on stove cooking
Yes. they often do warp even with normal use. I have never shocked mine, let it heat and cool slowly, yet it is serious warped making it useless on aglass stove top
I haven't had any issue with mine. I love this griddle.
No, mine has held up wonderful! I always try to make sure the temperature was the same on both burners.
No, we use ours every weekend on the stove and is still in perfect condition.

QUESTION: DOES THIS REALLY HAVE THE SILICONE RUBBER SOFT GRIP HANDLES? WALMART HAS THE SAME MODEL WITH HARD PLASTIC HANDLES.
yes, and they are convenient. Sometimes WalMart has the manufacturer cut corners so they can sell it cheaper.
We bough 2. Our original had the hard urethane. The second had the soft rubber. Why did we buy 2? We didn't season with oil every 20-30 uses. We use at least twice a week and have had one for several years
I'm not entirely sure, I bought this as a gift for my mother, but it works great!

QUESTION: CAN THIS BE USED IN THE STOVE GAS OVEN? (TO MAKE A TURKEY FOR EXAMPLE)
I personally wouldn't use it fro that... I use a deeper pan for my turkey ...so none of the juices will run out
No.
I don't think it would be good for a turkey...its definately not deep enough. I'm not sure the rubber coating on the handles could withstand the direct heat from an oven either. Inexpensive large turkey roasting pans can be found at Walmart and other stores, and usually have a rack insert to keep your turkey from sitting in the juices while baking. Even a large disposable foil roasting pan from the grocery store would be a better choice for a turkey than this griddle, just be sure to always hold it by the bottom with oven mits on, once you put that turkey in it. I hope this helps!
Usually, yes, these items are fully oven-safe (handles will be hot, of course). however, the sides are not high enough for turkey drippings...I would recommend against that particular use.
I don't think it is deep enough to contain all the juices that come out of a turkey during baking.

QUESTION: HOW DEEP IS THE GRIDDLE OR HOW HIGH ARE THE SIDES?
About three quarters of an inch deep holds at least a pound of bacon grease
About 1 1/2 inches. I love this griddle
Mine measures at 1 1/4 inches deep.
It's about 1 1/2" deep
appers to be 1/12 inch
Very good, for pancakes; good handles.
1 inch
The griddle is approx 2-3 inches deep. My wife and I love it!!
Its at my Mom's house, but the sides are pretty high, like 1/2". Sorry not an exact answer.

QUESTION: CAN YOU USE METAL SPATULA WITH IT WHEN CAMPING IF PROPERLY SEASONED FIRST AND CAREFUL WITH UTENSILS?
Yes used properly you can use a metal spatula. We have restaurant style metal spatulas and it has been just fine! What we do make sure is to clean correctly and not use abrasive cleaning items. Hope this helps! JJ
I do, but you probably shouldn't. We've had this pan for a few months, and we love it. It's perfect to make the family's pancakes.
Hi. Yes, it can. Thanks!
metal will scratch it i would use plastic
We camp too, but I bring along several silicone utensils to use on my non-stick pots and frying pans just to be safe. Not sure I would put this on an open fire though if that's what your thinking. I'd Google, that to see if it could take the open flame and extreme heat. Have fun. Cast iron may be your best bet if your cooking that way.
Hello Again, Your most welcome. I love mine and use it at home on an electric stove, but wouldn't hesitate using it in my camper one bit. Happy camping!

QUESTION: IS THE NONSTICK SURFACE PTFE-FREE AND ALSO PFOA FREE?
I love the griddle, I can't say anything about its PTFE-free or PFOA free. All I can tell you is I am really enjoying the griddle, its great for a lot of uses, Its easy to clean, and I like that! But all in all I am a very satisfied customer.
It's non stick and easy to clean but dont know about chemicals. sorry. Griddle is OK, it warped a bit but not very expensive.
Sorry- not a clue here

QUESTION: CAN THIS BE USED FOR FRYING?
I wouldn't recommend it. It is not very deep, less than an inch, so frying would make a mess. It's definately not deep enough for deep frying. Plus, my griddle warped so much, that even light frying would be impossible because the oil would collect all in one corner. Hope that helps.
I wouldn't think so. If you bring this pan up to a very high temperature it will warp. Not good for glass top stoves.
I bought mine for frying bacon
Absolutely! The sides are not that high, so I wouldn't use it for a stir fry, but it's great for pancakes, bacon, etc - that WHY I bought it and it's my 3rd or 4th one(different brands) over the years.
I have used mine for frying common breakfast foods (eggs, sausage, bacon, etc.) as well as other pan frying. The sides are higher than many griddles and hold a good deal of grease.

QUESTION: IS THERE A TROUGH AROUND THE PERIMETER FOR BACON GREASE AND WHATNOT TO FLOW INTO WHILE COOKING?
There is no trough on this pan, it is a flat bottom.
It is flat but has a pour spout to empty the grease from the pan
no there is not. it is flat all the way around.
No, there is nothing for grease to flow into.
No
No but the bacon fries better setting in it grease you will fry a pound at a time it works great

QUESTION: CAN YOU USE THIS ON A GAS BBQ GRILL?
I wouldn't because my grill would make a mess and char it. You probably could use it outside. I wouldn't recommend it.
I don't think I would. The handles have either a plastic or rubber coating that I think could melt if a flame were to come up and reach. I do have one without the coating on the handles that we use for the grill. Just need to remember to take the oven mitt out because it does get too hot to handle.
I would say "no." T-fal is listed as "steel handles with silicone inserts is oven safe to 400°F/204°C. ...T-fal cookware cannot be used in a microwave, under a broiler, over a campfire or on any type of grill." (Use and Care Instructions)

QUESTION: CAN THIS BE USED ON INDUCTION?
I don't think so--it's aluminum and induction works with cast iron, steel and Stainless steel, although I understand some induction ranges can be had with an intermediate steel plate, which would then heat the aluminum pan.
Yes it can be used on induction because it has a ceramic finish underneath as well! Hope this helps!

QUESTION: IS IT POSSIBLE TO REMOVE THE HANDLES?
I would say no, not without damaging the pan.
They are attached with rivets. You could remove them by grinding the heads off the rivets. This would be a more or less "permanent modification", however they could be reattached with nuts and bolts but that would be a rather clumsy arrangement.
I guess there is always a way, and these are bolts (flat and solid on each end) that go through holes in the actual pan. Not designed for removal, though. If you remove them, you will have 2 small holes on each end that limit how much oil, food, etc, it can hold. If you're really handy, I suppose you could and then fill the holes?

QUESTION: IS THE BOTTOM FLAT FOR USE ON A GLASS COOKTOP?
Yes, it is flat on the bottom.
Yes
It is flat, not sure if it works on glass, I'm not very familiar with those type of stoves

QUESTION: CAN THE GRIDDLE BE USED ON GAS BURNERS? I'VE SEEN SOME REVIEWS ON OTHER GRIDDLES WHERE THE BUYERS DIDN'T KNOW THEY COULD NOT BE USED WITH FLAME.
Yes, it can. That is one of the reasons I purchased it. Goes across both burners on my stove so I have a large cooking area.
I use mine on a gas stove. I love it. I do hand wash it to protect the non-stick finish. This is my third one on 25 years. The others were damaged by my teenagers using metal spatulas.
I use an electric stove. I would think being T-fal it would work on a gas stove. I love my griddle, I use it all the time. The large handles with the heat safe handles are great.

QUESTION: DOES IT WORK ON INDUCTION
No. I tried a magnet on it and it did not stick.
I don't know what induction is, sorry. I used it on my gas stove in my RV and it is fantastic!
