QUESTION: WHAT SIZE ARE THE POTS AND PANS? MEANING THE QT. SIZE.
Thank you for your question. 12-piece set: 8-inch saute, 11-inch saute, 10.25-inch griddle, 1-quart saucepan, 2-quart saucepan, 5-quart Dutch Oven, 3 nylon tools
12
smallest pot: 2 cups ( I make tomato soup in it - one can soup and one can milk or water; middle size: 1 quart + 2 cups; large pot: 4 quarts + 2 cups. Leaves about an inch to the top of pan. griddle: 10 inches; 7 1/2" fry pan and 8" fry pan. Just right for me. Hop this helps you.
Corrections on fry pans. one is 7 1/2" and one is 10 inches. The smaller 2 cup pot is just right for a can of tomato soup and one can of water or milk.
1qt, 2qt, 5qt..... , pans 6" & 10"...check out the website, all questions will be answered...
Ok, will answer as best as I can. The small one I think is a quart. The next size is I think 2 quarts. The Large Pot is like for Spaghetti, stew, etc. Not sure of the size, but huge. The skillets are small, and medium. You can not go wrong with this set. I am not professional, but what I cook, it works well, and cleans up easy. Very durable. Good Luck.
Short Answer: 1-qt covered sauce pan, 2-qt covered sauce pan, 5-qt covered dutch oven, 8" fry pan, 11" fry pan, 10.25" square griddle. Also included in the set are 3 tools [utensils] [Though not specified, the picture shows a slotted spatula, a solid spoon and a ladle.] A tip for anyone having trouble finding this set on T-fal's site: Initially, I had difficulty following the advice given in one answer, to "check out the website, all questions will be answered...": I couldn't find this product on T-fal's website because I didn't know what search term to use. Then I looked at the product page on Amazon again, and noticed the product number (C112SC74,) listed under ""Frequently Bought Together." A search for "C112S C74" on T-fal's site resulted in a link to the product page. Once there, I clicked the "Available Range" tab, where I found this 12-piece cookware set and the list of what is included in it. This answer is long, but I wanted to share my experience with everyone else who decides to look this set up on T-fal's site, so that no one else would have to be frustrated, as I was at first.

QUESTION: DID NOT RECEIVE CARE INSTRUCTIONS, CAN YOU PLEASE SUPPLY IN WRITING OR ON LINE?
you have to season pans first heat a little then pour a little oil in pan wipe off with paper towel should do this every so often to keep pans from sticking around every 10 use or so
make sure its not under the cardboard we almost threw out the griddle pan lol
We did not either but same as similar products

QUESTION: WHAT ARE THE SIZES AND CAPACITIES OF THE PANS IN THIS SET?

Sorry I don't remember as I gave the set to my daughter, but I do remember that I had an issue with the handles getting loose, but they may have solved that problem by now. The description should answer your question.
I am not positive, but I can tell you it is the typical pan and pot sizes that you get with any basic set. If you are looking for a large pan you may want to order one seperately, I use my cast iron skillet for bigger projects... Hope that helps...

QUESTION: ARE THEY GOOD FOR INDUCTION COOKTOPS?
No
Yes
No, unless you use an induction disc under the T-fal cookware in question. Cooking using Induction, the cookware must be magnetized and flat bottom. Test your cookware you are using. If a magnet sticks to it you can use it with induction cooking. Magnetized stainless and cast iron will work.

No

QUESTION: DO THESE POTS AND PANS CONTAIN A TEFLON COATING?
i can not say. it does not say in the manual. It just keeps saying T-Fal non stick coating. It does say that the coating is designed not to chip, but if it does, it is not harmful. It also says in the manual that cooking at ultra high settings can cause emission of fumes from the non-stick coating that can be dangerous for certain animals with very sensitive respiratory systems, such as birds, so they should not be kept in the kitchen. If you want to call them, their phone number is 1-800-395-8325 in the USA and 1-800-418-3325 in Canada. Hope that helps.
It's T-Fal. It's much better than Teflon.
Teflon is the name of a non-stick coating developed by Dupont. Because it is branded, I'd expect that you'd see the name listed if it was being used. I do not know how different other non-stick coatings are from Teflon, but I do not believe that this product contains the specific coating that can be called Teflon.
Yes non stick
Sadly, I think they do.
Teflon was banned for use on pots and pans several years ago, so I hope they're not still using it....

QUESTION: WHICH COUNTRY MADE?
I looked on the pots but it is unmarked and unfortunately I threw the box away. Try the manufacturers website.
The set I've purchased is currently wrapped up as a birthday present for my father, but upon a quick Google search the T-fal C112SC74 set is made in France.

It changes color when it is the perfect temperature for searing meat and locking in flavor.

QUESTION: IS THE INTERIOR PAOF FREE?
I have no idea. I did some research for you and found this on the T-Fal website. Hope it helps. T-FAL non-stick coatings do not contain PFOA. PFOA is a component used to manufacture polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), an ingredient in non-stick coatings. At 300° C (572° F) PFOA has a half life of 0.14 seconds, meaning that half the PFOA present is destroyed in this period of time. This means that in one second at this temperature it goes through seven half lives so that 99.2% of PFOA is destroyed. PTFE is cured on cookware at temperatures above 300° C and typical curing time is ten minutes (600 seconds, or 4,285 half lives). PFOA is not present in the final cookware product. In 2003, independent analysis conducted by three different laboratories confirmed that no PFOA is present in T-FAL's non-stick cookware products . Our products are safe and adhere to the rigid quality standardization and environmental testing of Groupe SEB, our parent company.
im not sure,, is there a w ay to tell that ?

QUESTION: HOW DO THESE PANS HOLD UP ON A GAS STOVE?
I was given a single fry pan I have been using on my gas range for over a year. Works so good, I just ordered the whole set.
Sorry I Can't help, I'm all electric
I couldn't tell you, since mine is a glass top electric. Clean up is key, esp the underside

QUESTION: ARE THESE INDUCTION COMPATABLE?
No they are not.
Hello Jerry, See the pointer below about checking your cookware....Hope this helps...What cookware is compatible with Induction cooktops? Not all pieces of cookware can be used on induction cooktops and stoves. Since induction technology uses the power of magnetism, the cookware piece itself must be magnetic and have a flat bottom. For this reason, cookware made from aluminum, copper or glass, including Pyrex will not work on its own. Induction cookware must be made of a magnetic-based material, such as cast iron or magnetic stainless steel. Fully clad cookware brands, such as All-Clad Stainless, Viking cookware and Mauviel M'cooks stainless work on induction cooktops because they're magnetic. Cast Iron cookware also works on induction, like Staub. If you're not sure if your cookware will work with i nduction cooktops, try sticking a magnet to your cookware. If it sticks, it should work; if it doesn't, most likely it is not induction compatible.

QUESTION: WHAT KIND OF BOTTOM DO THESE POTS HAVE? IS IT SMOOTH ENAMEL OR ALUMINUM LINES? AND ARE ALL 12 PCS THE SAME BOTTOM?
these are aluminum and the bottoms have a copper element design that looks like the electric stove top.
they are smooth with a design. The pans work very well- especially for the price

QUESTION: WILL THIS WORK ON INDUCTION COOKTOPS
While one response to your question says that it works well on induction cooktops, I DO NOT believe so. If you go to the maker's website (t-falusadotcom), and do a search for "induction", only cookware containing stainless steel pops up. This T-Fal C111SC74 set has aluminum bases, containing no steel. NOTE: I don't cook using induction, just an old styled electric range, so please take my reply with a grain of salt. Induction cooking is based on a rapidly shifting magnetic field causing a magnetic metal (such as stainless) to heat up. Aluminum is not magnetic. Sorry....
I am looking at the box and it says suitable for all heat sources except induction
Not sure, sorry.
Yes of course.
It is also excellent for cooking bacon, sausage, ground beef, eggs and event grill cheese.
Yes! I highly recommend this set for cooking meals. The price of the set was very economical and there is no breaking in the color or inside.

QUESTION: THE LAST 2 SETS OF COOKWARE I HAD WERE RED, AND THE PAINT STARTED TO CHIP WHEN I PUT THEM IN THE DISHWASHER.. DO THESE HAVE THAT PROBLEM?
Not at this time
The ones I have are black. I bought them about a month ago and so far so good, no chipping experienced. (I hand-wash mine)
I really don't know. Since my last set of T-Fal I have been very careful with these. No Dishwasher and warm soapy water
I have the black set so I can only speak for that. I haven't had any problem with the Teflon or paint chipping or scratching. This is really is a great value.
I bought this set for my in-laws, I haven't heard them talking about the paint chip issue yet, maybe because they are still brand new. I will ask them later. But I have a red nonstick set from Cuisenart and the sales person told me that it's better not to use the dishwasher to wash the nonstick cooking ware, so I always wash them by hands. So far it's been 3 years, the paint is still good, no chips.

QUESTION: DO THE LIDS ON THE POTS FIT ON THE SKILLETS? I'M SEEING CONFLICTING INFO IN THE REVIEWS.
A lot of steam escapes but the lids are the right sixe they could just fit more snuggly
The lids are interchangeable between the pots and pans. The flat skillet does not have a lid.
No

QUESTION: CAN YOU USE METAL UTENSILS
Definitely not. They will damage the non-stick surface.
Metal will scratch and cause things to stick.
You can't used metal utensils
You can, but it is not recommended. This product is Scratch Resistant, not Scratch Proof and therefore you run the risk of scratching the non-stick coating, which would not be covered by the warranty. That is why the set is packaged with the three nylon tools. I hope this helps.
i have used metal tongs and a metal whisk and they were fine.
I have been using metal tongs with the sent and have not had any issues. However, the use of the tongs are very subtle interaction with the pots themselves.
No, you will ruin the non stick surface, I suggest bamboo
I believe the manufacturer says that it's safe, but I personally wouldn't. The utensils that come with the set are some of the sturdier plastic ones I've come across. Hope that helps.

QUESTION: MATERIALS THAT ARE THE HANDLES OF POTS AND PANS???
metal with a hard plastic wrap around the whole handle does not get hot. This is my second set of T-fal and I like these better than the first set.
A hard plastic; and the handles do not get hot.

QUESTION: IT SAYS "ANODIZED". I SEE OTHERS THAT SAY HARD ANODIZED. IS THIS "HARD" ANODIZED?
yes it is...this is from their website: T-fal Ultimate introduces a new technology combining the premium performance and durability of hard anodized cookware with convenience of easy cleanup. The unique Thermo-Spot heat indicator shows when your pan is perfectly preheated to seal in the flavor of your food
Yes
Hi... I guess its what they called hard.... I can tell you this much, they are great to cook with, and very easy to clean.... :).. Hope this helps.. Also I would not suggest using metal in them as that will mess and scratch them up
Honestly I don't know. Bought them for my stepdaughter and she said nothing sticks to them, everything slides off easy. I tried doing a search and other t-fal sets did come up as hard but I did not see it for this one. This is a great set though, my stepdaughter loves them.

QUESTION: CAN THESE BE USED ON AN INDUCTION UNIT?
We only use it on a flat top range. They work greT. Haven't used in the oven. To answer your questions I don't know.
I use mine in an ancient electrical kitchen, I don't know what an induction unit is...
#T-fal_C112SC_Review

QUESTION: CAN THIS BE USED ON INDUCTION STOVES?
A magnet does not stick to the bottom and it does not work on our induction cooktop.
Yes they can.
i think so. because induction stoves is good also in this kind of cookware. Chefs cannot cook with such materials as copper, aluminum, or glass. Some makes of stainless steel pots and pans are conducive to cooking on an induction cooktop while others are not. When in doubt, cooks should test their present cookware with a magnet - if it sticks to the pot, it will work on the cooktop. Nonstick Cookware Nonstick varieties of T-fal cookware are not intended for use on glass cooktops. The metal plate built into the bottom of the cookware can potentially scratch the cooktop, causing the enamel coating to come off and fuse with the glass surface. This is a potential hazard with all varieties of T-fal cookware that feature a nonstick and enamel color coating.

QUESTION: WHERE THESE MADE IN FRANCE OF CHINA?
Since I threw out the box months ago, I checked the warranty information insert, and it did not say where the product was made. It only listed customer service in both the US and Canada.

QUESTION: CAN THESE BE USED ON A COLEMAN CAMP STOVE?
Hi Tiara, I just went to the website for Coleman camp stove, to see what the stove looks like. I'm sure the pots and pan are durable I'm sure you won't have a problem with them. But if your not sure go to the their website and you can send them an email.
Haven't tried that, but they work on electric and gas stoves. So why wouldn't they work on a coleman.
The smaller ones I would guess. However IF I were you, I would double check the Diameters on the pots and pans and the surface area on your stove to make sure they fit. The large pot is like a soup pot. I would say between 8'and 10' in diameter but I'm really not sure. The two smaller pots should fit. The large pan is also about 8-10in. There is a small one included. also take mind of the weight you are going to put on the camp stove and how mush weight it would actually support.

QUESTION: WILL THESE POTS RUST?
We have been using them heavily for almost a year, and it hasnt started to rust yet.
Well, under the Teflon coating it's aluminum. Does aluminum rust? Not sure. But if the coating is intact it shouldn't rust. I've had mine for about a month so the coating is in place.
Nope. This is my second tfal set, and I have never had any issues with rust. I have had the first set for years now, and they are still in good shape.
I haven't had them that long. I purchased for a change in color. My old set of T-fal is still in great condition and I've had them over 10 years
This is the first set I bought of T-fal for myself. My daughter had a set for 11 years an never had any rust on them even though her one fry pan had a bad scratch across the center of pan.And yes I am still cooking and loving it.
The pots will not rust

QUESTION: HOW LONG IS THE HANDLES ON THE FRY PANS

QUESTION: ARE THE BOTTOMS OF THESE PANS AND GRIDDLE THE SOLID BLACK SMOOTH BRUSHED FINISH?
All of the pans, including the griddle, have a copper heat-dispersion system built in to the bottom, however, the pans other than the griddle are smooth. The griddle's bottom is smooth in the center, but has rough, concentric rings of ridges around the outside corners. These ridges are far enough away from the center that the'll not touch a raised burner. They might scratch a flat, glass stovetop, though.
Outside bottom is smooth black with copper rings. Inside bottom is smooth black with a grey sort of chicken wire pattern and a heat sensor in the center.
I wish I could help. They were a housewarming gift for my daughter. If I recall correctly they were a smooth finish but I couldn't tell you if they were black or steel.

QUESTION: WHAT'S THE SIZE OF THE SAUTE/FRY PANS? FROM THE PACKAGING IF POSSIBLE. I'VE READ THE DESCRIPTION ON AMAZON IS WRONG.
Mine were exactly as advertised as far as the sizes.
The 8" is actually 7.5 and rhe 11" is only 10".
I do not have the packaging. I measured them across the top of the pan: 10 inch square flat skillet, 7 inch small fry pan, and 10 inch large fry pan. I love these pans. They are so easy to clean.
I don't know that the description is wrong. I know that the largest saucepan is probably more like not that big. However, you can always purchase an additional saucepan elsewhere if you need it. This is a great product. It cleans very easily. I have owned for over six months, and it still looks new. I would recommend it highly.

QUESTION: ARE THE BLACK, RED AND BLUE SETS THE SAME QUALITY? WHY THE LIST PRICE FOR THE RED SET IS MUCH BIGGER?
i believe that its same, but i `ve owned the blue ones and its amazing stuff !!!! see ya
As far as quality--its the same. The price tend to fluctuate from different sellers and could possibly find a red set for the same price . Also, red tend to be more appealing in the house.
Perhaps it has something to do with different sellers or availability. At the time I bought my set, the red was the cheaper of the three. I would have actually prefer the blue; however, the red was significantly cheaper at the time and had more additional items than the blue that you could purchase to match the set i.e., 10 inch jumbo cooker and 3 qt saucepan.

QUESTION: I COOK DAILY AND USE HIGH HEAT WHILE COOKING. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE THICKNESS OF THE PANS AND IF THEY WITHSTAND HIGH HEAT.
Have not had a problem using high heat.....gas.......
No problem at all, these pots and pans are thick and durable. Not cheap metal that will bend
I haven't used all the pans yet but did use the frying pans and griddle. They worked just fine with the things I cooked--bacon and shrimp. The pans are pretty thick although not too heavy to use. They do heat evenly as well. Hope that helps.
When on high for too long, over 10 minutes, they get black burn marks on the bottom. Tgen they begin to smoke.
oh and I forgot to mention in my previous post, I use gas to cook with these pans.

QUESTION: ARE THESE PANS HEAVY? I USE ELECTRIC AND NEED THE PANS TO SIT FLAT ON THE BURNER TO HEAT WELL. IF TOO LIGHT, THE HANDLE WEIGHT CAUSES THEM TO LIFT.
i have not used it yet , so i don't know.
They are heavy but not heavy to handle. I have electric too and they fit just right on the burner, evenly heat, and I have not noticed them lifting off the burner.
These were the worst pans I have ever used. Besides being thin, the bottoms are so slick that they easily slide of the burner potentially creating a very dangerous situation. I returned them. They are junk.
Check out QVC.com the Cooks Essentials brand. That's where I found mine and I love them. A little more money but well worth it.
